One of the consistently infuriating things you will ever find on the internet... the scoring rules for the high jump on Guts.

It's kind of hilarious that a group of adults didn't realize "hey, we can probably time this better if we just toss the ball by hand instead of trying to time it with a machine..." Also these trade offers are going to get insane. At some point, Zack is going to get Jomboy Media ownership options and naming rights to a future child of Jimmy or Jake

Trade terms: Jomboy receives - Justin Horton Zack receives - Katie Davis, two pantsings of Jake within the week, and a future #2 pick (which will turn into a #1 pick if Jomboy can not successfully convey his two pantstings of Jake within a week)

I don't think they'll ever figure out the Aggro Crag scoring and its funnier every time

I mean…..what is that first game? That’s completely unacceptable to just do with no control no practice. The person not throwing the ball correctly almost every single time? U can’t do that. And then u certainly can’t put it on TV. THATS Abysmal. It’s funny too but it’s really hard to watch with that person just throwing the ball whenever wherever they want

What an emotional rollercoaster of an ep

The trade veto option adds an interesting element. I feel this trade happened partially because Jimmy and Zack at least partially wanted Jake to burn his veto. The trades seem to be more likely to be accepted between two people if there is someone who holds that veto power, thus providing more entertainment.

I don’t remember this volleyball event from when I watched this as a kid. My guess is they ditch this event in the future real quick.

You need to be keeping a running total of points from all the episodes. It will make the betting so much better if there was a cumulative total you were chasing. You then can make "seasons" where 10 episodes in a season and whoever has the most points in that season is the winner.

Jimmy is really “chill” in this episode. Sometimes it takes an hour, or a couple episodes of GUTS for the “chillness” to kick in.

I found out there's a guts episode with the all that cast. Can't wait for that one

We've been desperate for a meaningful Crag event and we finally got it. Jomboy's little boy getting 1st. 1st, 2nd, 2nd and ending dead last cause of a weak Crag run is great. Poor batch of contestants but an even level between them, it's like watching a Guts Minor League show. They'd all get destroyed if they got pushed up to the big leagues but there's still enjoyment in watching the game

Jake got screwed on that first event harder than anyone else any other time in this series. His competitor had the fewest attempts, hit 4 out of 5 over and somehow lost to the other girl who only got it over the net once and the boy who got 14 tries? I almost thought GUTS had it out for her after that and O'Malley rooting for her to come in 3rd in the bike race. UNBELIEVABLE WIN. TORI'S GOT GUTS

I would love if y’all had a graphic on the bottom showing what color each of you are backing (you could swap colors after a trade, of course). It would just make it easier to keep track. LOVE the program, though!

the measuring of the high jump when its just two smears is the most infuriating thing ever. If they want to take the lowest point of the highest jump then they need to measure and wipe between every jump. Also, you can tell this is the first of the day for the crew, it takes awhile for the coke to kick in. Even Mike is whispering in the first event.

It would eat me up inside when I would see an episode where all contestants were bad. As an athletic kid I always thought I’d smash these “events.” Id been in plays with as many people in that crowd. I think the whole set up can get to some kids(and probably would have me as well) didn’t think that then

I think the issue was reds start with the bike was the bikes are back peddle brakes so when she went to start her foot was probably pushing back on the pedal causing it the bike to brake.

No kid back than had their handlebars set that far back. They were usually tilted straight up so your knees didn't hit them when you were sitting and you could stand up on the pedals more comfortably.

This is gonna be a rough couple of episodes with this group of events.

The reason they measure from the bottkm of the hand/foorprint is to eliminate the advantage of different hand/feet sizes. If 2 people put their hands in the same place and one was a 15 year old boy and the other a 13 year old girl, the advantage goes to the bigger person

They measure the high jump event the same way long jump is measured in Track. You measure the nearest grain of sand that is touched to the take off board. It makes sense in a horizontal jump, dumb for a vertical jump.

Really miss the obstacle course with the elastic bands jungle. Always provides for great laughs when someone goes high instead of low. I wonder if that happened less and less as the show went along with kids having time to have seen the show. Also, I've said it before, but I feel like you should stop fast forwarding through the re-cap of the events. Could be some Mike O'malley gold in there.

For the Volleyball event, they should have had someone toss the ball over the net as if it was SERVED to the player.

Only reason I can think they score the way they do for the high jump is because different kids could have different sized feet/hands so using the bottom would be most fair. Still infuriating though

I showed up for the Guts action. I stayed for the concise declaration of terms on the pantsing.

They really should use the top of the foot for measurements. It makes so much more sense lol. There are a lot of things in this show that just remind me of early 90s neighborhood block parties. All the adults would get drunk and pit us kids in ridiculous competions and bet money on us.

Forget the stupid ridiculous rules for a minute, they just blatantly screwed up the measurement on the High Jump! At 25:40 it’s CLEARLY at no lower than 12’6” and they said 12’4”?!?!?! Jim said 12’7” and I agree! That was so blatantly bad! Oh my gosh that’s so bad.
