I had already commented that it's an artist's version of The Winchester House but then about 10min later as I'm scrolling down through the comments & I see this one. Oh well🤷 at least we agree w/each other. Lol I just know this house gave me the creeps.

I'm rendered speechless. While it's waaaay too busy for my taste, I am fascinated by the artistic vision that changes every time you move your eyes! It doesn't 'feel' like a home to me, more an art museum. My favorite "room" was the garden :-) Ken, you did a great job narrating this right along with the flowing camera moves, well done!

Whew! That artist had a very active mind! There's a lot I enjoyed about it. The creativity, the work involved to make his visions. Certainly a place I could spend a couple hours trying to view everything and imagine how things were made. My favorite rooms by far were the bathrooms and upper floor bedroom. The place on the roof was pretty awesome too. I could see myself looking around at the city lights at night. I appreciate you breaking your video into chapters. That's very thoughtful! I also like how you stand out by wearing a suit on most of your tours. It brings a bit of pop to your videos when everyone else is just wearing everyday clothes and looking frumpy. Thank you for the tour!

As someone who loves historic homes, I found myself feeling quite torn here. I love when artists create unique living spaces in their homes, especially when those spaces create atmospheres that can’t be experienced anywhere else. So I found myself loving the experience that this house creates, each room another scene of experiences. It’s quite overwhelming. But then I remember that it is an antique building…. Anyhow, thank you for showing us this wild house! Also, that leather-like wall covering looks like the substance called lincrusta or anaglypta.

I could never live in a place like this. While I appreciate that the man who created it is considered an artist, none of it appeals to me. Different strokes for different folks.

Aww. RIP Bob. He crafted so much absolutely incredible wonderment while he was here. Thank you for sharing this! Such an amazing living space/work of art. I had no idea it was here!

Yes it borders on kitsch. Way too much going on. I see little glimpses of artistic vision here and there, but it gets lost in the chaos.

Wow! After the sensory overload inside, the garden was literally and figuratively a breath of fresh air. This guy seems like he couldn't leave anything that he liked at whatever sale he happened to be at, but in the garden he was able to let nature do what wanted and just sort of nudge it into place. I agree with other comments: the owner had great taste, but I would not be able to live in those rooms. I'd have to move into courtyard and hang out in the garden and on the roof. Thanks for this video!

This house is a nightmare, I could never go in there, and it makes me so sad that the original architectural elements have been destroyed. Nobody is going to nay this house, unless they are insane, it will end up being demolished or become a burden on the city as an art exhibit. But Saint Louis is not in any kind of financial position to take on such a project, and what a disaster to stick in the middle of your neighborhood. You said there’s nothing like this in the city, nor any city I imagine, there’s a reason why there’s nothing like it anywhere and that’s because it’s the product of chaos and the insanity of a mad artists mind. Nothing is normal in this space, my favorite room was the exit letting me out of the beetle juice monstrosity.

Your information on all of the houses you tour is very interesting. I would suggest that you do something about the lighting in your videos. They are so dark that many of the details you describe are not seen.
