@@louisminten7889 I like that in the last song all three backup singers get a moment to shine. Jan gets a duet with Simone and Irene sings her sister's part with Marcela. Glad that with a cast of like 20 singers Arjen and Joost managed to give everybody their own moment in the spotlight.

Ah this was so cool to watch hey. I just love in the music video where he's like "I'm glad I don't have to play this live" with one of the big guitar solos. I love the fact Anneke is in it as well. You two are adorable though how excited you get. It pumps me up as well

I already wondered if Irene would sing Floors part, since she is normally always part of the Ayreon shows, at least of what i saw so far. Together with Marcella was of course even better. And the guitar solo before, yeah Arjen didn't had to practice because he hates it, and the guy here (sorry don't know his name) did a great job. Also Anneke was of course nice to hear.

for this 01011001 live show, Floor was replaced by Brittney Slayes ( Unleash the Archers) and what a replacement ! In this video- last song on the setlist - it was logical to have Irene and Marcela 🙂

Arjen let's everyone in this show have a moment to shine. Here he has his backup vocalists take a lead in this song,. Jan WIllem does duet with Simone and Marcela and Irene sing Floor's part of this song. This is why everyone love to work with Arjen. No ego's between the singers and musicians...

This was pure joy! We saw ppl tear up when the first notes signalled the live arrival of TDTTWBD. The most perfect thing about this was the fact that they pulled it off to begin with, considering their limited time to practise. So many highlights to mention. Jaycee was on fire! Maggie once again nailed the part as did Anneke. The Floor bomb done more than justice by Irene & Marcela. Surround Mike with his trusty 01s. The band exuding fun while perfectly executing this masterpiece. A magnificent achievement of the whole cast & crew. Great mix as well. The only thing keeping this version from perfection was the absence of Tommy Karevik, felt by many. The effort put in by Dan Gildenlow was a valiant one (we saw the Saturday matinee show, this was Sunday), but I sure hope for a rematch in '25 with both Floor & Tommy present. Cheers from Amsterdam! 🤘

I have nothing to add. I still get goosebumbs from Damian's intro. Even after seeing it live twice. The first time it took me until "A silence so.." to realise what they were playing. Mostly because Arjen told the audience that they would not do this one.. 😀

Despite the limitations they had, I've just finished watching the original video, what a great performance! I agree with you I missed Tommy Karevik in this one but still great.

I knew it with the wind too, in the rehersal, but the surprise with the replacements was increasing, Anneke and the Tower Power in the end… I enjoyed the days after and more this final Sunday show being the last song of the last show…

@@LEANCAPOthinking about it, I might have missed the wind noise starting because I stood right next to FOH and had a wind machine running next to me. Temperature wise it was really nice, but I had a wind noise all the time.. 😀

I saw this live, absolutely amazing how they pulled the song off with only 3 of the original singers. Everybody slayed it. The singer duetting with Anneke is Tom Englund from Evergrey. The guy with the laser hat is Mike Mills representing the computer TH-1, hence his part is in binary. Mike, Simone and Hansi are on the album. @Alanna I highly advise you to watch the video with the original singers just for reference. You'll be even more amazed how they managed to bring the song on stage.

I think she gets it !!! LOL, I was speechless the first time I heard this live version... I cannot believe you found the words, but I'm glad you DID. Oh.. RE seeing (not) Arjen in this one. ... that would mean he would have to practice, and we all know he hates practicing, lol (show her the studio version w/captions... sometimes, my jokes need explanation) You know, nearly 40 years ago I tried to write a song directly inspired by a hideously complicated circuit board I had a hand in designing and laying out on an old school CAD system... I tried notes and rhythms derived from component placements and then tried to find an way to use the patterns of traces and layer-to-layer vias ... nothing worked out.. LITTLE DID I KNOW all that was needed was to sing the binary code !!! (Michael Mills, you are genius)

I have now seen this clip 25 times, but what struck me is that during the part that TH-1 (Mike M) the lamps at the top of the room are also 1s and 0s the same as the text... just pay attention.

Thanks for your reaction. So pleased you really enjoyed it! I saw the show on Sunday (the day this was taped)! The whole show far exceeded my expectations! It was magical. The fibe in the venue was fantastic. The camaraderie among all who performed and the connection with the audience set a wonderful tone. Everyone was into it. Arjen, Joost and all who participated in realizing these shows deserve huge respect! I hope you will enjoy the dvd’s from the live shows.
