The walk is representative of how he stumbles through life, bumping into people, meeting resistance and problems, but he's tired of it, so he just goes through everything and he doesn't care, (he cant change his mould) you can extrapolate more meaning along these lines but its pretty crystal clear, always surprises me, with reaction videos, most these days don't see the obvious message, but first time viewing maybe, but I recall first time I saw it when it came out, I got in simultaneous to the record unfolding.

For me the point of the song is probably that you can't change yourself unless you change the wider mould you're in. You can't just change in your head. You have to push through and make ripples - which is exactly what he's doing in the video, and people won't always love you for it.

Great reaction. The video represents the path of life. Bumps in the road of life (so to speak) Encounters he's had. The car for example (A close call he had) The passing girl could have been a fleeting moment in his past. The blacked out car a missed opportunity in life. The old woman reprimanding him (Maybe someone he respected had reigned him in) etc.....

This video is an insight to autism, not douchbaggery. My son is on the spectrum and I can relate to his interaction/lack of interaction with his surroundings and the people in it. It’s very eye opening in that aspect. My son even has a very close resemblance to the singer and it’s jarring to see this. I hope that this gives maybe a different view to how this video impacts your perspective on social interaction with individuals different from the “norm”.

Yeah I never heard of The verve either, wait sounds familiar, lol lol said it at the same time, nice like it 10 seconds in, yes thank you, damn thinking about the same thing, exactly, i love the background music, wait did that woman spray him with holy water,at 5:17 lol lol, no she was swearing, real nice song, glad you're back, almost forgot there's another song I think you may like, band is called- living colour, "cult of personality", I think you like the guitar solo also.

Great song. Yeah it is deep. Glad you enjoyed that one. It's interesting that he says he can change... then says he can't. I think most people go through both sides of it. And in the future: stop the reaction if it's something you have to say, or be willing to take a note.

When you start doing Ren videos, and you will, he did a cover of this that’s great. By the way, a good start if you’re interested is "Hi Ren" an 8 minute performance art piece that’s hugely popular. Hugely, to the tune of five million views. Love your reactions!

The Verve never got any money out of this song in spite of it being a huge hit. The string sample is from a Rolling Stones song and they were sued by the owner of the music (not the Stones) and lost. Royalties on the song all went to the owner.

It was a former scum manager named Alan Klein and when he died his son wanted the band to have all of the royalties back, so I read recently. It was never The Rolling Stones
