I have to seal a lot of concrete. I only want to use the best concrete sealer for my jobs that I can find.
That concrete sealer is RadonSeal's Deep Penetrating Concrete Sealer. This concrete sealer penetrates down into the concrete approximately 2", reacts internally with the concrete, and permanently seals it, blocking out water from being absorbed and eventually causing spalling, cracking or deterioration.

Hi Mike, love the channel. What should I use for concrete that was ground smooth? Currently it's very smooth, slick when wet, some aggragate is exposed. I also live in Phoenix, so are there different sealers that work better in the extreme heat?

Mike, thank you for your expertise. Question, if i may. Sealed my first driveway this weekend. Used olympic multisurface sealer. Applied it very nicely with a roller and it dried up great. No streaks, spots, lines. Today it rained, and the customer sent me a pic. I can see that the water beaded up on the surface but the driveway had gotten slightly darker and was becoming lighter in the area with no water beaded on the surface. The areas that has water beaded on the surface seemed to be a little darker. Is that normal? Concrete gets darker as water penetrates it but here the water is beaded on the top so should it remain light? TIA

Great video Mike. I have a coping stone edge. Do you recommend taping/covering the coping stone edge so that it does not get sealer spray? Or you recommend sealing the coping too?

How long does it protect a patio? I am leaning towards the penetrating sealer as opposed to an acrylic sealer. Hopefully it will be good for many years.

Mike, you mentioned this product for “broomed finish” jobs several times, do you use this for hand troweled as well? Our new drive (30’ x 60’) is smooth, but we want a matte look, NOT a wet look finish.

I have colored concrete around my pool. When dry it is a light pink but when wet it is a burgundy color which is what I expected the color to be when I picked it out. Will this sealer brighten the color back to the burgundy or will it still be the light pink? Thank you!

Very Interesting. Question: will this prevent staining from leaves, etc.? Whenever wet leaves and acorns get on my new brushed patio it causes rust looking stains. They're easily removed using Clorox but I don't want to have to do this every time it rains and the leaves stain the concrete.

Hey Mike cool videos. I have a question I’m building a little seawall in my backyard . It is 2 blocks high on top of the existing cement wall. My two neighbors are higher than me I’m just going to same height as them. I did rebar every other whole 4 inches in the existing wall. Filling all the holes with cement. Now back to the question that I wanted to ask as a rambled off LOL. Should I waterproof the outside wall?

Yes, waterproofing it would be a good idea to protect and preserve it for a long time. This sealer I used in the video would work great for that.

Just watched your video, one question I don’t see anyone asked..how is the sealer not getting into the pool? I just hired a guy to seal my cement around the pool, he used a brush on the edges but rolled most of it with a roller. When I went out this morning there were large frisbee size pooling of the chemical floating on the top. I did skim it as best as I could but how do I know it is safe to swim in?

Hi Mike, I have a new poured 30x30 burnished slab with a brushed apron connecting to my driveway. Its only 5 days old. What do you think would be the best system for me to stain and seal this concrete. I am going with a charcoal color so oil stains wont be so noticeable, My shop will also be a shade of charcoal. I like the acid stain look , mottled etc. Not sure which products i should use, considering new concrete , brushed and burnished. I am a car painter so i am used to all kinds of different chemicals. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks for your channel . PS I think i like the matte finish type sealer .

We roll it on with a paint roller here in pa. Our theory is that spraying it can be spotty but rolling it u can make sure u get an even coat. Definitely when sealing a stamp keep a lil brush 2 get in the cracks & low spots. What kind u using water base or oil

Rolling it is good. A lot of times we'll spray and back roll at the same time. When I'm alone on a deck this size I prefer to spray multiple coats.

What is the maximum humidity/moisture percentage allowable to be in the existing basement floor before sealing??? We get water in the basement of one of our rental properties. We have soaked up all the standing water, and rented a dehumidifier and the current % varies throughout the basement from 50-60%. Is it safe to apply a sealer now? Which sealer will be best for the fully poured concrete basement floor in the later 1940s. Another video you said use the pump sprayer and spray the floor walls with water and then immediately apply the sealer. Assuming you meant from dry so then only the surface is now wet and the rest is dry behind the water he just applied. Im dealing with a wet basement 50-65% plz help 😢

Finished two coats of this product yesterday based on this video...Coverage was perfect, easy to apply. Should I expect water to bead up on the surface? After letting it dry for 6 hrs or so I spot checked with a little water from the hose and it seemed to absorb right in as it had before....thx

What about over spray? Does the sealer damage the soil and plants in the garden and what about the water in the pool? I could see the sealer hitting the pool water on a number of occasions.

We clean it with either Xylene or Acetone, depending on what's in the solvent sealer. Mostly Xylene, just spray a quart or so through it to clean the tank and wand.

NO, this sealer could have gone on before the drylock. But it won't work over drylock.

Mostly 55 and above is good, under that the sealer might not cure as it should.

Good informational video. I am going to seal to new patios, one where I park my truck. I want protection against oil/chemicals stains and stains from tree leaves. Would RadonSeal alone provide much stain protection. Their website suggest DryWay seal on top of the RadonSeal. Any thoughts?

Those are good sealers, they penetrate into the concrete and seal it from the inside. You should also apply a topical acrylic sealer afterwards for the best protection against oil/leaves.

Hi Mike: Thanks a lot for the informative video. I have an in ground pool with concrete deck. I have never sealed the deck before and it’s been over 15 years. Now if I walk on the deck barefoot, the bottom of my feet will have some sand. So it seems the sand is coming off the concrete. Do you think if I seal the deck with RadonSeal, it will stop the problem? Thanks in advance.

Can someonw help me with my probleme!!!! Just did a concrete driveway with a buch of acorn stain ( black spot) that dosent go off with just the pressure washer so I put a 3% sh solution bamm everything was gone Perfect driveway !!! A few days later the guy put a scealer on the concrete and now when the concrete is wet all the black spot that were gone reappear Someone got an explication off what could cause that ??? Did the sealer reacted with the SH or i dont know Imo i killed all the organic on the concrete how could they reapear after applying a scealer...???

Hello Mike, Great video!!!! I have a question on repairing a hairline crack forming across my pool patio on both sides of my pool. This crack has run about 10 ft and is less then 1/8 inch wide....What is the best way to repair this so it doesn't get worse. I live in Massachusetts so snow and ice can cause it to get worse. That's what I want to know too. If I get a 5-gallon bucket for my small 6x6 concrete slab, and I want to save the rest for a future date possibly next summer or the year after, will the RadonSeal still be good to use?
