I know you’re trying to be funny and I don’t know his history, but as a foster parent I would recognize eating “like that” as food insecurity - meaning food was scarce or if you didn’t eat fast you didn’t get to eat. Maybe people even took food from you. But I don’t really recognize that in him…interesting observation.
I agree. Del Taco for the win, though Taco Bell is still good. The Del Taco mild sauce is a bit more tomato(ish). Might have to try the Del Taco with Taco Bell sauce. :)

Here in Minneapolis, MN we didn’t have 2 of the 3 you taste tested. Just have Taco Bell. The thing is we have tons of other taco places that are just as good or better. We are by no means in a taco drought!

Hi Derek and Catherine, I agree with you that Del Taco tacos are bar none the best of the three that you critiqued. I go to Del Taco often and they seem to be closer to authentic Mexican food and you can definitely taste the fresher ingredients. Having been raised on Mexican food at home with my Hispanic roots they are just more delicious, and the tomatoes give you that fresh taste and their chili packets don't taste bitter like Taco Bell.
The Del Taco in Barstow California is even better than the "regular" Del Taco Tacos. Reason is the franchise let the original owner keep his recipe from the 70s. There more beef and cheese than regular Del Tacos.
You two are adorable. Taco Bell tacos are delicious but my stomach turns on me 9 seconds after the first bite. Taco Johns has way bet tacos that don't try to kill you. 🤣💯
One of Taco Bell's meat ingredients is rehydrated cellulose, aka wood pulp. Del Taco...you actually get your money's worth; the superior taco. Kudos to Taco Bell for many college drunk/buzzed memories.
Del Taco used to give onions for free when you asked, but now they charge like .50 more for EACH item. They also used to have better prices than Taco Bell, but Del got rid of the $6 box combos and the Dollar Menu.

I like Sharky’s on blue diamond. They got grass-fed meat, fried fish tacos and a salsa bar. Happy hour 2-5. Chipotle also has tacos. I usually order a bowl and crunchy shell tacos on the side. The Queso is 💣
All my friends who live on the west coast rave about Del Taco. I now know that there’s a DT in Atlanta near our daughters place. So our next trip there, we’ll give it a try! Cheers Doc

Maybe I will get to try Del Taco when I return to Vegas next year. Surprisingly, there are only 4 Del Taco locations in the entire state of Florida, with 3 of them being in the Orlando area. While it's under a two hour drive from where I live, I actually get to Vegas more often than I drive to Orlando. I may have to try Taco Bell's crunchy taco based on Derek's (facial) review. 😁 Thanks for the fast food taco review.

I'm in San Diego and El Pollo Loco here has hard tacos. I went on to the app and put in Las Vegas Nevada as my location and it definitely is confusing. There's a hard taco available called Baja shrimp but you have to click on it and underneath you can substitute chicken breast meat for a dollar more. I thought their Birria tacos and promotion that ended at the beginning of June were delicious and much more authentic.

My favorite taco place that I think is the best on the planet is calosal taco in Niagara falls ny the super calosal it's gigantic almost a pound only 2 fit in the bag omg it's so good and one is only 6 bucks and you can put whatever you want on no extra charge there's always a line out the door and there open from 11 am till 4 in the morning
always fun to watch your take on food. since i have had some experience in research, when i read these lists, i first look for the statement on what was selected as deciding factors. i do not think you have that on hand. sooooooo what did the two of you use as your deciding factors? might want to state in the beginning of your next food comparison. also, i was once told in a survey of professional chefs asking where they go to eat after work, taco bell and their tacos was number one choice.
Del Taco has one of the better fast food burgers, the double del. It's always freshly made, at least so it seems when I've gotten it. Been getting it for as long as I can remember, love Del Taco for their other stuff as well. Chicken soft tacos are great, chili cheddar fries. But even though I like them over TB for fast food tacos, I usually can't help getting the burger.
Quest for Fire Derek just annihilated that Taco Bell taco in 3 bites!...........then on the Del Taco the sauce on his chin looks like he bit into a live pterodactyl ......had me rolling with laughter...great reviews.
Love the videos! Can a suggest a topic? My wife and I are headed to Vegas in a couple weeks. The last time we were there, we saw a cake ATM at Planet Hollywood. I used to like Del Taco, they had these cheap little chicken tacos that were great. Then prices went up and quality went down. Hope they’re coming around again.
