Being from California I'm team Del Taco. One of the last places that have crinkle cut fries. Larger items, better value, Coke, they send out coupons and better sauce.
Del Taco is 🔥 I love the carne asada fries. Taco Bell couldn't hold a candle to Del Taco 🌮 Edit: native of Louisiana having Del Taco for the first time in Oklahoma 👌🏻
FACTS!!!!! Born and raised in Southern California now living in Orlando area and I too believe Del Taco is FAR SUPERIOR in Tacos than Taco Bell!! Taco Bell hella stingy on meat and cheese...But Del Taco load their Tacos like their life depended on it!! LOL hahahahaha Del Taco is straight 🔥
@@tylertalk6746street tacos/taco truck tacos are the best tacos in my opinion and they never come with a crunchy shell. The crunchy shell is an American texmex thing.
My first job in high school in 84 was at Del Taco. I lasted 4 hours. First duty was blending the refried beans with this giant Black and Decker drill bit thingy into this giant pot of beans. Bug came in the kitchen and flew right into the mix and got sucked into the swirl. I stopped and told the manager who told me not to worry about it because it happened all the time. That was my last visit to a Del Taco. I will say that the whole Food Truck experience is phenomenal. Great vid, ATW!
In my younger years, I was a manager for both chains. At that time, the food was prepared fresh in each restaurant. Now, Taco Bell prepares everything in a central commissary somewhere and then each store opens bags and heats up meat and beans, etc. Del Taco still prepares everything fresh and you can taste the difference. Del Taco tastes fresher and has, in my opinion, more interesting menu items. Also, there's a Del Taco near my office and, not long ago, they opened a Taco Bell across the street. You can get through Taco Bell pretty quickly, but there's always a line in the drive-thru at Del Taco. I think the people (or at least drivers) have spoken!
@@rodimussubprime it’s funny. A few months ago he made a whole video saying he wasn’t going to film at Disney parks anymore because it was taking away from the experience for him and he just wanted to enjoy himself while he was there. Then maybe two or three weeks after that he started posting Disney videos more than he ever had before and hasn’t stopped since. The channel used to be 80-90% road trips and filming locations and maybe 10% Disney. Now it feels like it’s 80% Disney and 20% travel vlogs. It’s fine if he likes Disney. I just don’t watch those videos. 🤷♂️
One of your best reviews because you didn’t make a pig of yourself ! You sampled just enough to make a fair comparison & didn’t waste until the very last full bite !
Beautiful day in Celebration! I love the videos when it's just you and your thoughts, talking to us and taking it easy. I need to try some Del Taco now!!
After watching this video I’m skipping breakfast today and heading straight to Del/Taco Bell 🌮 once they open and do the taco test myself 😅 Thanks Adam
Way way back in the day when Mexican was still a novelty, let alone Mexican fast food even in California, the first Taco Bell opened about a mile from our house. Twice we passed the Taco Bell and aroma so different and filled the air with a warming invitation to experience something new. On the third time passing the store I made my mom stop. As wonderful as it smelled just driving by, walking up to the outside only order window that aroma was imprinted on my brain. We sat down in the outside seating area on a freezing California night, and ate our green chili bean burritos. 55 years later that aroma is still with me.
Yes,Jack in the Box is not like any other taco. We either love them or can't understand why anyone would consume them. Ever tried a Dell Taco bun taco ? yum 😀
I could be wrong but the Del Taco cheese looks like it's been freshly grated. That makes a huge difference in taste. It's missing that coating of cornstarch or cellulose.
Hey Adam, in case you ever wonder if you truly are an influencer, my wife and I visited our first Bucees last week because of your video. And we loved it!!!
@@beardown-ej7rnthat's why it's called a Mexican Pizza not just pizza. And no one goes to TB for it's authentic Mexican cuisine but thanks for the heads up 🙄
I love your fast food reviews. I love the places you always find to eat at. To hear the birds singing and see the sunshine is a treat. I'm sitting here in cold Iowa. Thank you for the video.❤
Living very near both here in Cathedral City, California, I eat at Del Taco a few times a month, but Taco Bell only a few times a year. DT's burgers are also surprisingly amazing.
Good morning Adam, I’ve got my own piping hot beverage and watching your new video is the perfect way to start my morning, thank you for all of your great videos.
Adam I'm Chris Keyes and I love your Vlogs you make them fun to watch and I absolutely love your posts, I just wanted you to know that they're always entertaining
Enjoyed this Adam review. Every once in awhile would love to see more of the fast food reviews. Is there an In and Out. Just wondering. Thanks for sharing👍
I remember the Dell guy, his catchphrase was: "Dude, you're getting a Dell". As I recall he was later arrested for something and everyone started joking "Dude, you're going to jail".
This was a great vlog! Loved the idea! Personally, I like Del Taco better. The Del Taco deals on Tuesday and Thursday nights are great! Thanks for a great vlog and getting me hungry just in time for lunch!!
Oh yeah that's what I'm Taco" n' about" hahaa 😆 I miss a few of the sauces Taco Bell had especially the Chipotle one, but Del's are fresher tasting to me. Great battle of the Tacos video! Really like the VS. Videos.
Adam, I love your channel and have been following following you for a long time. That being said, the whole time that piece of cheese was hanging from your upper lip, I didn't hear a word you said. Also, I am now seriously jonesen for tacos!
I knew I shouldn't have watched this!!! My inner food monster has awakened and now I'm off to Taco bell for my second lunch 😅 I did enjoy the video tho! We don't have Del Taco here but will def give it go if I find one. Always a pleasure seeing you Adam!
I remember another RU-vidr who did the comparison between Chic fil A and Popeyes fried chicken sandwiches. He went on and on about how much better the Chic fil A was and that’s what he always ordered. He tried his favorite and sang its praises and then started to eat the Popeye’s. The look of amazement that came over his face was hilarious. He then had to admit that Popeye’s was much better and that he would probably choose that sandwich. Moral of the story: change things up every once in a while and give other items a chance.
@@jamesanderson6373 It's Chick now, but it's a Mandela Effect, because it started out in the malls as Chic fil A, and now they say it was never Chic. A lot of people know it was Chic.
Thank you for sharing your taco experience I live in Tennessee we don't have a Del Taco but there is Taco Bell on every corner now I'm going to go get some tacos
A great review!! We don't have any Del Taco near us!! All I know is I need crunchy tacos with a ton of heat!! Mostly I make my own and my beverage is coca cola, pepsi seems sweet!! Thanks Adam!!
Hi Adam me from Australia in port macdonnell sa me have watched your vlogs for about 5 years I think they are great to watch say to me sometime keep filming thx 👌
Taco Bell definitely starting too skimp on the cheese compared too years ago. The original Taco Bell mild sauce still my all time favorite, I can eat the hotter sauce but the mild takes me back too my childhood when they only had outdoor seating, and the sauce came in the little tubs and my friends and I would line the tubs up like we were doing shots😅they sell bottles in grocery stores now but not in big enough bottles 😂
Mmm, i reckon it won't be long before your sick of the fast food and back on the water and salads, it's what you do, and you'll do it, so enjoy your taco things Adam, a change is a comin lol, must say the crunch sounded and looked mighty fine 😊
Lived in Orange County Cali most of my life. Back in the 60s my parents would take us to Taco Bell on State College in Anaheim (we lived in Placentia). It was walk up only. The tacos were so good. Unfortunately the current Taco Bell is just a shell of its former self. Del Taco....started near San Clemente OC. I'm a burrito lover and their burritos are amazing for fast food. As a self described refined bean snob I will never, never eat beans from Taco Bell. Obviously not cooked on sight. However, Del Taco cooks their refried on sight, fresh every day.
