Yeah,that Harrods breakfast was shocking,they turned the bacon into leather,such a crime!

Aussie here as well. There's a kind of almost innocent enthusiasm that Gary brings to his videos that is really quite endearing and makes them easy to watch, along with the right level of editing. I'm hooked and this is as close to the UK as I'll ever get ....

​​​@@leechilds3725I reckon it's because people associate full English breakfast with roadside cafes and greasy spoons, so people think of them as very cheap offerings. The idea of paying £15 for many will be impossible to consider, yet to get really good sausages, bacon, tomatoes, eggs...even tea...costs just as much money in total (if not more) than producing a half decent fillet steak dinner - yet people will be more than happy to pay £20 for that. So I think the thing that makes it difficult to find a really good full English is that in most towns and cities places just can't afford to make a good full English, because they're having to knock one together for £5

Cafes don't struggle to make a fry up most of them buy the cheapest crap from the wholesalers, they don't care as they aren’t the ones eating it.

I actually like those buttery poached eggs out of a mould 😂 I tell you what though, having been a breakfast chef it can be a bit of a nightmare getting lots of poached egg orders just because you have to keep changing the water/refreshing the pan and keep them all separated. A few or even several at a time is fine but when you have to cook 20 at once it's nothing short of heroic.

Hi Deadman. Yes when you compare it to Harrods... for the value it's complete night and day. Paolo's Cafe is absolutely excellent and the portions are huge. Beard is the only other RU-vidr I have time to watch and I reckon he could eat about 4 of those and it not touch the sides. Thanks my friend and have a good weekend :)

If he is paying VAT which is 20%, he only gets £11.50, the rest is tax that has to pay , even though he is not allowed to show it on the bill, and most people don't even know it.

I dont rate that square sausage unfortunately definitely not my cuppa tea but them tattie scones are the best on a Scots brekkie had some great breakfast in Scotland during my travels just dont like the square sausage 😂😂😂😂😂

@@gazzalad8901 I think it’s a bit like haggis, once you get it, there is nothing like it. A roll in sausage in Scotland will always be with square. Both pork and beef links are also fantastic, just different.

The colour of the yolk all depends on the food the chickens eat, not how fresh the eggs are...

@@ngatiramona you can have a perfectly fresh egg with a pale yolk, I prefer to buy organic eggs which (hopefully) have had no artificial colourants in the feed... 👍

All eggs in NZ are free-range now which has bumped up the price.
