Had to start washing cars and mowing lawns the next day to hustle up some more money for another pair. 2nd pair I admit, didn't ball in them. Had to keep'em fresh to look fly, in the 7th grade hallway lol... so glad shoes didn't "sell out" back then, like they do now. I even remember Jordan going on sale. Sometimes as much as 50% off.

@@supremevictory4310 I wore a 9.5 in 92, that was my 6th grade year. Nike Hollistic Uptempo is the first shoe I put on that made me say wow, these are different. Up to that point I had every penny shoe including air flight 1, a few Pippen non signatures. Like Chris said these shoes are as comfortable as some of the shoes today. I remember every shoe that’s super comfortable. Actually forgot Zoom Flight 96 was the first shoe that made me say wow, that shoe was so bouncy, but the tread would break up anytime I played anywhere in them.

I had the OG, wore them into the ground! Air bubble was falling out the back. They were so "lite" for the day and well cushioned. Loved them. Not as cool as J's but a players shoe in the day.
I need an on court review of these! I know you guys mostly test newer models but man I would love to see how these stack up on court compared to modern shoes.
I had the OG 92 gray/black colorway and they were, by far, one of my favorite shoes to ball in. I did purchase the retro black/orange/blue colorway and they are amazing.
As soon as I saw the thumbnail, I knew right away that it was Air Flight Lite Mids. I really love this pair. I never had the chance to get my hands on a pair but this really looks fire. I remember having the red and whites in 94. My pops was getting remarried and I lost my tuxedo shoes the day of the wedding. My dad told me to just put the flights on since I had just got them. I was embarrassed cause I thought people were going to laugh at me. Got to the wedding and literally everyone loved the look. Whole family called me Fresh Prince for like 3 years after that lmao. I was in middle school when these came out, but all I had was some Spalding ice1 shoes,never had brand name shoes as a kid, so now, as an adult i can finally experience the air flights!
My cousin had a pair of these and I was extremely jealous that I could not get a pair of these! I'm glad they are coming back and now I have my own money to buy them! 80 and 90's action figures are the best!

I had these shoes back when they came out. I was in 6th grade and KrissKross was the shiznit. I remember rocking these with some Girbaud jeans backwards and white sox jersey, also remember Colorado Rockies and Florida Marlins debuting and also rocked those jerseys.

This was one of the very early pair of shoes that I bought upon my arrival in the USA, coming from the Philippines in 1991, the other one being the OG Air Jordan 7 cw that Mike wore in the playoffs against LA. Brings back a lot of good memories!
I had the white and red ones that released like 10-12 years ago. Man they were so comfortable. I remember them being the super high version. The leather was buttery and the cushion was perfect for casual or hooping.

Nightwing hands down, is one of if not the most in-detail and in-depth OG in RU-vid. Over time as I observed the way OGs of the past especially from NIKE with their perfect pointy toebox, overall shoe shape and also materials, the way they were constructed I've learned myself that black shoes would usually have this white or light layer wherein it accentuates the lines and design of the whole shoe. They had that cool effect on the texture of the sneaker. Especially true with the AJ 4s, 5s, 6s, 7s, 8s, etc. and many other black sneakers of the 80s and 90s (including the one Nightwing reviewed here). It gives out that OG retro vibe on it, character if you will. When I see a re-release of an OG black sneaker from NIKE it usually would look like flat black, or matte black whether you look at it near or far and I'm absolutely not a fan of that look. The shoe doesn't have texture unlike the OGs. My point is I share the same observation with Nightwing that rarely receives attention and only those that appreciates and have seen the OGs (especially on Instagram) will understand. C'mon, can't NIKE recreate the same effect on sneakers with newer materials if they have moved away from the durabuck?
Im a wide footer and true to size is fine. I have the black and purple, black and orange, white and purple and I just cop the new black and red joints. Im excited to get these pair. The next ones is definitely the white and green pair. But yeah true to size family is doesn't matter the foot shape. ✌🏾

These are one of my grails! I remember that they were one of the first pairs I got while hooping at a kids league in my local YMCA. Also, you may want to check out the black and university blue Social Status Air Penny 2. They’re as close to the black and royal Penny 2 that we can get for now. I feel the same way as you, since my black and royal blue pair finally fell apart on me last year.
The Penny 2's are so slept on. I've never had a pair of Penny's other than the copper foamposite but them Social Status Penny's are definitely dope in both color ways!

I do have to loosen the shoelaces of this shoe to slide my foot in, but the few times I have worn them, they are really comfortable. I am usually an Asics and Adidas guy. I like comfortable shoes.

I've seen the Air Flights on store and they are not my cup of tea. However, this colorway brings back 90s memories of a pair of Kelme sneakers I had with similar material and near same color scheme. If I see them in store I'd probably buy them. On the other hand I was hoping to see a review of the Jordal Legacy 312 low on that sweet chicago color scheme. My gf just gifted them for my birthday and they are amazing. I know a lot of people doesn't care about hybrids, but in my opinion the legacy 312 is a great model and way better than all those new deltas two treys and similar.
