@@sparkx251 Governor Abbott has been dealing with a very contentious White House since he took office in 2015. Unfortunately, the problem is far from just Texas. Every Republican state in the Union is dealing with a similar relationship. Every border state has some version of the same problem trying to control their border with Mexico. This problem will not be solved as long as this administration controls Congress.

I can remember in the 1960's when Texas was one of the places in America to go tech. IBM, Texas Instruments, Dell Computer all in Texas and the list has only grown. As a Californian I was kinda bummed to see Elon go but can't blame him one bit I think Texas is the perfect fit for his libertarian political views and the tax friendly business climate and wide open spaces make it a perfect home for Tesla. It is rare that things work out so perfectly so I am happy for Elon and Tesla and the people of Texas who will benefit from the job market.
I live in los angeles, CA and completely utterly love this Texas Governor's attitude about innovation, supporting Mr. Musk, in addition to the oil industry; YES, I believe there is room for all these things but as the Governor points out, there is no more room for illegal immigrants in Texas and so send them in the 900 busses to D.C. Washington. I think that is a brilliant solution! I support this man 100% and I personally wanna move to Austin Texas myself when I get a chance!!!
Austin itself isn’t the best place to live unless you can afford to live on Lake Travis. However New Braunfels is close to that and absolutely gorgeous. Just be sure to vote Red when you get there so the whole state doesn’t end up like CA.

I met a Swiss man years ago who told me that in Switzerland you cannot leave high school without a degree in some vocation. Some job skill that would walk you right into a job. Then you go to the military service for 2 years. THEN, you can choose to go to college. That’s what I call smart!! A win win strategy
Honestly, I think this push for everyone to attend a 4 year university is nonsense. There are a lot of People that are not so called college material and to get them indebted to student loans they most likely won't pay off, because they end with some kind of rinky dink job anyway, is silly. The company under Musk produced 500,000 vehicles in 2020, 937,000 vehicles in 2021 and with the all new Austin and Berlin Tesla gigafactories opening in the last 2 weeks we can expect to see the company producing >3.5 million vehicles a year only 2 years from now. More factories will be built in the coming 5 years. Exponential growth is coming for Tesla which will see it become the new Toyota by 2030. Watch this space.
