@@halo091 yes, he literally had so much work that the super logical decision was to move me out of the house but don't want to let go of me. I told him I wanted NC cause he was talking all kind of BS how we have to "go through a cultural catarsis and reinvent ourselves" and that he will be back for me after a year or so. 🙄 I was really tired I even started to grab my stuff and wanted to leave two times In the past year, so definitely he dumped me because he feared being dumped.

I hope my ex would come back so we could actually figure out what was going on. She goes to therapy and we briefly were able to discuss attachment issues but I don't feel her therapist works on that with her. I tried warning her at a point when we talked that she's heading down a path that's gonna hurt her again because she told me she's tried it in the past- I wasnt trying to be controlling just caring for her because shes gonna do what shes gonna do regardless. I am frustrated, hurt but also love her very much. Ive been working on some stuff and can clearly see my downfalls and hers but they were never anything horrendous. We hardly ever fought and if we did, we usually calmed it down to why are we doing this? Although it was hard when she thought of her ex with me and said she always was geared for a fight- i guess I underestimate the power of trauma and actual nasty/toxic partners. All i know is I want her to be happy, id love if she actually wanted to see me to reconcile, and id like our connection especially in the really hard times to have not been for nothing. I do know the amount of excuses of differences we have bothered me because I thought about it and can see she is acting very avoidant because we actually got along great, loved our intimacy, talked of the future, had good core values, just we probably could've used a couples counselor to strengthen the communication. We move on I suppose but there is always a little hope that connections and love can outweigh the bs of life's stuggles.

Man mine was bread crumbing me with texts every two days after she said we shouldnt talk like that, then invited me over this past weekend and we had crazy sex. @@Halifax839 hello, look it like that, in the dating process, most of the time one did not do something particularly incredible for the relationship to begin, it was a combination of displayed value, emotions, interest, excitment, imagination, mystery, hope, flirting, physical traits, social traits, etc and we could call all of that attraction. When this attraction is set, then comes the relationship as such were you build trust begin to do things, or not, for the partner because you succeeded to having a place in her/his life. You can then be found unresponsive, unlistening, unsensitive, etc and the partner will see that you do not build something with them, etc. So now this trust building stage full of lack, instead of furthering the bond unto the next phase of commitment, will in facr destroy the attraction built in the first phase. So now you have to redo the process from the start but with a big big minus effect because of this trust building stage that was in fact the total contrary and all the suffering, despair, pain etc act as a repelling force towards you. This is where the no contact principle can help you reset the bond, purify it from all that negative repelling force so that the process can begin again from the start. And for that to work, you have to be a different person, you have to have worked on yourself, your flaws, your wounds, your bad behaviour, that have contributed to the failure of the trust building stage, just before entring in the commitment stage. If you come back the same, then the repellong force will be called back immediatly. But if you have truly changed, then the whole process can restart, and because you did not force it on the other one, he or she went by their freewill to you, why is that? Because they have been able to see the good part that was buried under the bad part, because during no contact the bad part is reset but not the good part, this part is acquired and if it was sufficiently strong and big it can be sufficient to make them come back after a while. Hope it clarifies a bit the process behind no contact. And if you did correctly the no contact principle (no reaching out from you + working on you to correct, improve and enjoy yourself and your life) and your ex does not come, that means there was not sufficient good, value, love, strength etc to make them come again to build something new with a new you. But they can also come back and see you did not change, so they will not try again the same receipe for misery. It is frowned upon, but I did notice an "accountability message" saying you "reflected" did work immediately (within 3-14 days) after the breakup. I feel it is something she can constantly look back on for the duration of the breakup and think. Don't send it too soon because it won't have much meaning to her.

Been working on myself a month and she was reaching out. Believe me, I scoured the web for monthssss after my breakup to try and find reassurance & hope through success stories of people who got their exes back. I was not even asking to get her back, just a sign that she was alive and ok... well.. it never came. All these stories I saw were a tiny, tiny % of all the ppl who never heard back from their exes, even just a text. I watched all the NC video which all gave me hope (and obvisouly i still do sometimes since im here). I think there is no hope. "Distance makes hearts grow fonder" is true if there still is a connection. For instance if you are far from your gf for a time you'll miss her deeply. If she dumps you, she wont. Same way you don't deeply miss an old friend that you havent seen for years. He/She might cross your mind once a year but that,s it. Not enough for you to reach out. Plus, note that if she dumped you, she detached emotionnaly a while back so no chance here for hope I think 98% will never hear back, especially if your ex is a woman. People will jump on that, scream patriarchy mindset, and say NC is the same for both sexes. I strongly disagree. Ppl miss their ex when their post breakup lives arent as good as they thought it would be. Happens a lot with men. Women on the other hand, they have a solid support network (friends, friends of friends, coworkers etc.) while men usually are more lone wolves. Women have unlimited dating options, once they get on dating apps, even an avg looking girl will have many more choices than the top guy. Guys need to sell themselves on dating apps, and don't usually succeed. Women are more attracted to a connection, that they can have with an old friend, with the guy she told you not to worry about, with the neighboor, with any of the thousand men that were waiting for her to be single to hit her up on insta, with any guy that has a pair and go talk to her on the streets, at the gym, at the hairdresser, during a trip, in the metro, at work... etc. Some of those men will be confident, handsome and she'll develop feelings for them which in turn, will help them forget about you even faster. Not a lot of women stay single for a long time. Look around you, how many guys are single? How many girls? It's a no brainer for me. 90% men around me are single, or with a girl they settled with. 90% of girls have boyfriends. And they could find another one tomorrow. Also, on dating apps, you don't usually see women stay there for months, if not years. Usually, good looking girls have a life expectancy of 4 months on a dating app. It's because she gets so much likes that it either becomes overwhelming and she leaves, or she finds a suitable partner among those likes. I dated many girls since my breakup, I asked them about their dating profiles and they all had at least 100 guys lined up after me that they could pick up from. My male friends have been on these apps for years without success. Women have it so easy man.. it.s so unfair ! That's why they dont come back, too easy to bounce back for them. Plus they get a ton of validation that they made the right choice. We're different breeds, whether we want it or not.

You’re projecting your experience. I fucked all my exes several times after they left me. Some reached out and some I reached out after a solid amount of no contact. I think it depends on a multitude of factors. 1. How serious was the relationship 2. How long 3. Reason for the breakup 4. Her current status. (Rebound, Dating, Still Single) #4 will be certainly be affected by #3 and #1. My last relationship I knew we wouldn't be back together; although 3 years, we never really that serious about a future together and I saw her on weekends only. This breakup, however, though shorter(10 months), we lived together and discussed future plans. Past never did reach back out during NC up until recently (30 months later). But this new ex-girlfriend has already done so twice in three weeks.

I don't think that can do much in this case except to walk away and give her the space she wants to start her life afresh.
