Kinda crazy that I am starting school again in a week since I only have a two-week winter break! (Thanks Quarter System...) So here are some tips that I have learned through the past few quarters on being able to create the most efficient college class schedule so you guys can survive the year!

The feeling when all the good professors have filled up classes and the only class available for a requirement you need to take is being taught by somebody with a 1.9 rating on RMP 😭😭😭😭

My list... 1. Asynchronous class and once a week classes preferred 2. Tuesday/Thursday classes over M/W/Fs. M/W/F off is best for mental health 3. No morning or late night classes 4. Look on rate my professor 5. No big gaps in class schedule Someone like every semester for the next 3ish years so I'm reminded to come back

I'm kinda with you on the 8am class point. I take the bus so I have to wake up at 5:30. However, if I could wake up at 6:30, I wouldn't mind taking a 8am class at all tbh

nice tips! i made a *chef’s kiss* of a winter quarter schedule haha with having one 5 hr. class (had to do oof) & then three asynchronous classes 😍 with one quick discussion. great for my work schedule!

Good advice! I had to teach 8am classes when I first started teaching, it was the worst! I never schedule morning classes anymore: better for everyone! I hope your next quarter is less stressful for you!

@@natster_ To some extent, but not entirely. We put in our preferences, and the department tries to accommodate them based on space and demand. I always request afternoon classes, but I'll still get late morning classes sometimes because that's the only times that work.

hey fam do you think tip number 1 applies if I'm doing virtual coarses. in that case it might be easier since I'm not really going anywhere.

bruh i had days where i have lecture from 10am to 5 pm straight... but then i learned to disregard all the TA sessions and just do 11-3:30, 3 1.5 hour lectures and thats it
