Stand by me is one of my favorite songs of all time. A perfect match for this story, but I’m also sad that 15 didn’t stick the ending. I feel like they had a cheat code using that song with the story, but they messed up the landing. Very unfortunate.
Yeah maybe if they continued versus 13 maybe overall better, but the problem is ff13 not good as ff game and they already had trilogy, so i think if they make ff13 again, we think its not to be good. I think the better of ff15 the first halves, when we had all bromance and the open world
I really appreciated the friendship of these characters. One of the reasons I play Final Fantasy is for the party dynamics and how the characters bond through extraordinary circumstances. I'd say Gladio is closer, personality wise, to Leonardo than Noctis is. However, none of them are all that analogous to Raphael, so there's that. I hate to say it, but I think this game would have worked better if it hadn't been open world. A road trip would have been better if it had been more cross country than driving around in the same expanse of land, often revisiting the same previous areas multiple times. There might be some questionable design decisions in terms of the world, the gameplay, or even the story, but the way these characters get fleshed out and the portrayal of their bonds are top-notch!
@FinalFantasyFiles Thar was actually my only complaint about Final Fantasy XVI, was the lack of meaningful party interaction. Or a meaningful party. Maybe XVII will return to party dynamics?
The only thing that annoyed me about the character was him constantly screaming “that’s it I’ve come up with a new recipe” every five minutes we’re walking through a dungeon
Versus 13 had something special going for it and instead we’re giving a romance with the vapid female love interest Who dies in the beginning of the second act
