I respect the body horror in Fallout and I am kinda used to centaurs now. But the huge menacing bug eyes and their loud bzzz, always make me jump. I wish Fallout 4 had more umanoid abominations because I never regret killing a bug, while humanoids... I always wonder if they are still conscious.
@@Ostr0 1 of my friends always said that death laws were the hardest things to fight in fallout, but he had only played 3 and 4. I kept telling him Cazadors were way worse in every way, but he wouldn't listen. When he eventually got NV, he went tried to get to Vegas from Goodsprings via Red Rock. He found the Cazadors. He agrees with me now
The scariest encounter for me was when I found a teddy bear in a makeshift cage made from two shopping trolleys tied together, in a wide open field. I opened it and took the bear, turned around and there was a Super Mutant Behemoth bearing down on me. I had no idea where it came from or how I hadn't noticed until too late...
My exact reaction, only from far too close up lol I finally bought F3 and have almost 100% it and I gotta say, for all of the problems it has it sure does have a knack for terrifying natural encounters
Should I play vegas vanilla or modded? I hear mods improve its stability but man the modding process is a pain (and I’ve modded classic single player games since Star Wars empire at war)
@JayTheGam3rCOD it depends really. Stuff like the game optimisers for stability are super simple to run with Nexus. Same with most of the graphic improvements. It only starts getting complicated when you start adding things that have animations or depend on other mods and need the correct run order. I would minimum run with the stability mod, unless you dont mind saving every 15 mins or crashing to desktop every hour or so.
you should see what they could've been in Fallout 4! Nightmare fuel right there. But Fallout 3 was by far the scariest game I played when I was younger, Mirelurks and Centaurs made me quit the game out of fear lmao 😂
What the fuck. 😂 Bruh it was the feral ghouls jump scaring me in the subways if anything but Honestly when I discovered I could listen to the radio. That wasn’t so bad still scary but eh. To me nothing can compare to being petrified in the dark trying to figure out where the hell they’re at and not get blitzed. Centaurs are just so harmless it’s more like someone’s ugly momma. You know if she pops up randomly in your face she’ll scare the fuck outta you. Lmao. That’s the way I see them. They’re right there next to rad roaches on the pathetic scale.
In the original series they had the model of a duel heads with the dog head being aggressive and would bite at the human head. Honesty after watching society centaurs look like softcore butchershop stiff. I find them more charming than revolting.
bro i tried to do this mission on my way to the tepid sewers ( moira quest ) and its just so hard ( im level 4 ) these damn fire ants are so hard to kill.
On their own they're weak, but in groups they tend to be deadly. Multiple spitting their acid bile at you from range whilst you're also fighting super mutants etc. Against the average wastelander, centaur wins but against the MC everything is a piece of cake.
I remember being around 11 when I played Fallout 3. Anything I ever came across this was my exact reaction. Took around 10 playthroughs of the vault and restarting before I plucked up the courage to venture further
The scariest parts in Fallout 3 is being inside any old abandoned ruins/building with very low lighting and ominous ambience. While also knowing there are most likely creepy enemies somewhere around, you just don’t know exactly where
I remember encountering centaurs for the first time. One snuck up on me when I was scoped in on a building. I was looking at some raiders, then I heard some slimy whipping sound. Turned around and was face to face with a centaur. Jumped from my position and gunned it down. Quick kill but still was scary.
The first time I saw one of those was when I got around some raiders trying to nuke me, and then when I turned around I saw this thing coming at me and I said "HOLY SHIT!"
Dude I had the same reaction only I had just went through a loading screen into a part of the city and it was right around the corner and did so much damage to me it killed me in two hits. I love the Centaur
@@bevans4712bombs fell happened. She was slowly dying due to radiation exposure along with rest of her unit and people they tried to help to. She was a nurse in National reserves guard, stationed at Germantown and last survivor.
Fallout 3 is a terrifying game if you mod it so the damage is more realistic. You're already on edge that you'll get ambushed and two shot by raiders, and then a feral ghoul leaps out of the darkness at you.
First time i saw a centuar i freaked tf out. After i killed it and looked at it my heart sank...it was a person...at least at some point. I assumed it was the effects of radiation and imagining the pain of its existance killed me when i was young. Its hands as feet and its pained expression stuck with me forever lol
I saw my first centaur while playing New Vegas when I was getting brotherhoods mission tapes and then 3 centaurs started vomiting on me. I was confused why one was named Moe, then an hour later I turned on Black Mountain radio and found out who moe was. I was absolutely terrified that something would happen because I killed Moe.
