We love hard rock, we have a 17 and 15 year old, not having to pay to have small lines is a vacay changer. We don't have to rope drop or run all over the park. You don't have to make a schedule and the kids can sleep in. Everything else in our lives is so scheduled, the break is amazing. Great job Molly!
Nice room tour! By the way, Hard Rock Hotel lets you get your room key cut into a guitar pick when you are done. Great souvenir (only do this after you are done using the express pass at the parks, or they may also let you have a blank room key to get a pick).
You'll probably love it. The boat to the parks and citywalk is frequent and such a relaxing way to start and end your day. The walk to Universal Studios isn't long and the gardening along the way is beautiful. We stayed there last August. The pool was great. The Kitchen is really good, don't miss it. It's so easy to get to one of the citywalk restaurants by boat as well. It's one of the most enjoyable hotels I've ever stayed at, easily. It's worth the relatively high price with the express passes. Everything is just stress-free. We rode everything so many times. Not having to plan ahead like Disney is a real plus. Good choice.
$200 a night??? And you get express pass included??? And you are a 5 min walk from the parks??? WOW!!! This pretty much proves Disney is waaaaaay over priced. People please stop staying at Disney hotels and force them to come back down to earth. I'm staying at a 4 bedroom house there in Dec for $120 a night. But I have always been tempted to just stay at Universal vs the cheapest Disney hotel nowadays. Pop used to be $70 a night back in 2011 no its over $200. RIDICULOUS!!!
It really is overpriced. My partner and I booked a vacation package through Universal for about 3.2k total- includes 4 nights at Hard Rock w/ the express passes, roundtrip flights, transportation to and from airport, breakfast reservations, and 5 day park to park tickets. Still quite expensive, of course, but our whole trip is set, aside from money for other food and merch. Trying to do five days at Disney would be like 2-3x that amount, not to mention all the Genie+ nonsense now. It's insane. 🥴
Hey Molly! I was so excited to see you at the Universal parks yesterday! I was too star struck to actually go up and say hi lol. Passing you by the entrance to the Dr. Seuss land I stopped looked behind me and my jaw dropped, quietly saying to my mom "that's Molly." Of course she didn't understand so we kept walking. Best universal day ever! Love Allears videos!
I LOVE staying at the Hard Rock. The express passes make it so worth it. I also love how close it is. When we stay we go to parks in AM and then can take a pool break before heading back later in the day!
For the cost of if not cheaper than a Disney Value Resort (awful closets) you get to stay in a Premier Resort with awesome theming and restaurants walking distance from the parks, Express Passes for everyone, 1 hour early park entry, package delivery, chat service, and more. This is definitely affordable, and offers tons of perks. This is so much better than Disney in every way. I come here and go to Tampa attractions, and refuse to ever step foot in Disney so Bob Paycheck can fill his pockets and rip everyone off.
My brother is a huge guitar geek so getting to rent a super expensive one is an awesome thing I didn't know they even did. Definitely adding that when we come down. Thanks for another great video
Hey Molly, Love your videos. A couple of notes, it's not Eminem, it's The band Live. It used to be behind the check-in desk prior to the renovation. Also, there is only one Graceland suite. Not to be a know it all, however I have just spent so many nights there with my family i figured I would share
Love this one, thanks Molly!! Hehe..between Beyoncé & Bruno. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I am in love with your studded sunnies in this and recent videos. I have ordered 3 pair and don’t love any of them. Please share yours! I know you wouldn’t wear bad sunglasses.
Hard Rock seems like such an awesome hotel. I’m a sucker for entertainment memorabilia, so I probably would just spend a day wandering the hotel looking for every item they have on display. Between that stuff, the perks you get for the parks, the amazing food/drink options, and the amenities, it looks like it’s totally worth staying there. I can’t get over that you can RENT A GUITAR and live out rock star fantasies in the comfort of your own room. I would probably be looking up videos of how to play the HP theme too 🤣. This was such a fun video and I absolutely love these resort tours.
I am SO excited to learn that you can rent a guitar here! My 14 year old just got his first electric guitar and is learning how to play. He will love this when we go in 4 months!
I’ve used the fitness center on a cruise ship before of all places. The ship would be rocking and swaying over the waves and I’d be running on the treadmill; it felt like I was running over hills basically! Definitely necessary to avoid coming back home five pounds heavier from all the food.
This Hard Rock reminds me of the Marriott Moxy hotels, which are my favorites to stay in when traveling when I can. A lot of them also have guitars/amps either right in the rooms or available to borrow at the front desk. And Molly playing that guitar with those nails cracked me uppppp :D
When we finally visit from the uk we are splitting our stay between hard rock and coronado springs so your last 2 resort tour videos have been amazing for me!
Another excellent food review by Molly! Regarding your question about whether we would all like to see you do a full review of dinner at The Palm? This is a resounding “Yes” Or alternatively you could go back and do a ninth review of Ratso Rizzo Pizza at Disney! All kidding aside your recent review of Rizzo’s pizza saved my wife and I from eating there while the rest of our relatives refused to believe us that it arguably the worst restaurant not only in the United States but in the history of the world, including Chipolte during the streak when they were making people sick.
Loved staying here, our last time was 2016, when we stayed with our 21 year old son. Plenty of room for the 3 of us. We always do a bed test as I have a back problem even though we travel all the way from the UK with my special pillow! have always found the beds here and Royal Pacific to be so very comfy. I love the theme of this hotel. Most of all the convenience and proximity to the parks, we stayed 2 nights as we all went to Halloween Horror night but being so close meant that I could walk back in total safety to our room without dragging my husband or son out of the event and they could stroll back when the event finished. Also having the Express passes is brilliant we always book a Premium hotel. We are coming again in 2022 but staying at Royal Pacific.
Have you never done a stay at the Portafino Hotel at Universal? My husband and I were looking for a video tour from you because we are going to be staying there in December during the first week of December. We love your reviews because they are always so informative.
I've stayed there. Highly recommend asking for the West Wing, because the East Wing is wayyyyyy far away from everything (boat dock, shuttle buses, etc.) Rooms are gorgeous, but very pricey. Hope you have a great trip!
@@michellem9444 Thank you Michelle, that’s actually very helpful as I have a disability and have some difficulty walking longer distances. I’ll make sure to call ahead and asked to be put in the West Wing. ❤️
@@pamelaward1428 Glad I could help. The West Wing is the closest to the boat access, but if you need to use the buses instead, you might want to get closer to the front entrance, since that's where the shuttle buses come through. I would talk to their reservations person and let them know what you need. They are VERY helpful! :)
Molly that is not the only Hard Rock Hotel in the state of Florida the one here in the Tampa Bay area is close to where I live at it is expensive it truly has everything you want and more
Mollys resort tours are so much less adventurous than Quincys, you didn't even get trapped on a balcony or attacked by a bee. Joking aside, great review though, hoping to stay here next year!
If you have express pass do you miss a lot of the queues? I love Harry Potter and have been in the normal lines so how much would I miss if I had express?
Unfortunately, if you’ve never seen the full queue, you will miss a lot through the express lines. However, for the ability to skip most of the lines - there could be worse things
The beauty of the Express is ability to ride over and over. MANY queues are worth a short wait, you can skip alot especially with Harry potter world attractions with express. Spiderman still has much of the theming in express but it is different than regular line. Hogwarts express definitely use express. Men in Black has alot of the story in the regular queue too. Kong and Mummy both have great queues-but once you've gone through once then express is way to go.Taking the time to experience the details is fun too, vs rush rush rush to get through a ride.
If you are a resort guest, will you be allowed in if the park reaches capacity? Is the express pass always short waits even on busy days. Is it usually under 30 mins wait?
I heard that Harry Potter theme after twinkle ⭐️ twinkle Now how about some Chicago for an encore Maybe 🤔 25 or 6 ‘til 4 Well does anybody know what time it is
After watching this we may have to change our January booking from the Royal Pacific to the Hard Rock 😬 thanks for the video Molly. Gotta find a new favourite artist though, MJ ain’t it…lots of fantastic musicians out there who didn’t sexually abuse children.
You absolutely SHOULD change hotels. I have stayed at both and I won’t stay at Royal Pacific ever again. It’s really pretty, but it’s a LONG walk to everything. It’s a long walk to the park, it’s a LONG walk from your room to the water taxi, it’s a long walk to the pool. Plus, to get to the pool you have to walk past a really nice restaurant with huge windows while you’re in your bathing suit. I LOVED Hard Rock. The theming wasn’t my favorite, but it’s SO close to the parks and it’s SO easy to navigate.
Actually the Royal Pacific is my favorite resort hotel. I don't walk to the parks, though, since the water taxis are very efficient and I don't get a chance to ride boats at home. The Royal Pacific is a smaller resort so, unless your room is at the end of the furthest tower from the dock, it really is a short walk to everything. (Tip: Request a room near elevators in tower 3 behind the Tuk Tuk marketplace). I also like the hand held shower head that Royal has. The Hard Rock has a better pool (the Royal Pacific doesn't have a water slide and HR does), but the pool is still nice and large. I also really like the pool food at the Royal Pacific. Great nachos at the pool bar. Unless there is a discount that makes the premiere hotels about the same price, the Royal Pacific's usually lower price is also a win for me.
A question from a Swede wanting to visit Universal Orlando someday. The park ticket included in hotel/park packages, are they for the whole stay and also one each for every family member? Or would I have to buy three more tickets for the kids and my wife on top of the package? Thank you for the awesome videos!
The hotel stay does not include park admission. It gives you express passes for each person in the hotel. This means you don't have to wait in the queues for very long at all. Typically if you are planning to be in the parks more than 4 days, it might actually be cheaper to get an annual pass (depending on when you plan to come) and then you can even get discounts with the annual pass.
@@JuniperMB thanks for the answer, but according to the website it does when booking a package. It says hotel+tickets. What I can't see if the ticket is for one person or all staying at the hotel. The Express Pass is included in the three premier hotels, that I already know. So what I don't know if it's just one ticket, for that room, and then we also need to buy three more for our family of four?
@@nicbarrax76 Oh sorry. I didn't see that you were referring to vacation packages. If you buy a package, you are buying tickets for all people booked in the resort stay. You need to read the details of the offer, though, since sometimes they are only 1 park/day ticekts and other times the offer includes multi-park tickets. There are also times (I think now) when there are sales for the vacation packages that include bonus tickets so your ticket prices for everyone are also reduced.
I know it’s a deposit, but that guitar isn’t even worth 1000 dollars, more like two hundred dollars. But yeah, that much doesn’t seem fair to people who would love to play but can’t afford it.
