Oh, the bread bear came! He was a regular fixture of our family holidays to France where warm bread and pastries would mysteriously appear early every morning. He was very elusive, the boys heard his motorbike but never caught sight of our furry friend! ❤ Wonderful memories
My grown up boys still talk about the bread bear, how they believed in him. Our duty as parents is to fill that treasure trove of special memories for our children. I did not have the privilege to record my children's early life. However, what I have learned is that family traditions are an essential part of good memories. My boys recall so much that astounds me and those early memories are so important to them. This channel is a perfect example of that. Fill Crusoe's and Sawyer's memory trove until it brims.
Headboard for the bed in the tiny house? Or a privacy screen in the tiny house to just provide a bit of division? A backboard for a place to hang coats, screw hooks at the top for jackets. A bench or even a table top. They are beautiful. Lovely rooster🤗

Keep a book to record each tray as well as labelling tray. You have young children and labels can get mixed. Your book record can included planting date and when to plant outside etc.

The doors are beautiful. I would use them as an accent for a Pantry door. You could also build a walk in closet and use them as entrance doors. One could be converted into a table. You could put some glass on top to protect the wood. Not sure how big the doors are. Would they work for a bunk bed for the boys. You may have to build a solid frame and attach them in the sides.

Many of your remarks take me back to when I was an early teenager & we had milk & wonderful fresh fruit juice delivered via a battery operated little vehicle. It was driver by a wonderful elderly man who reminded me of my Grandad. This was in South Africa many, MANY YEARS AGO. FULL OF HAPPY memories. 😊

Ok so you will need a pre filter, otherwise you pump will clog. Yes, there should be a fitting that you can hook the hose to the pump. Set up a pre- filter for the pump. It can be a bucket filled with batting and lava rock. The muck needs to stay away from the filter on the pump. Where is the link to the little wood painted dolls that were sent to you. They are darling just like you all! So nice to see them. They are spot on in likness. Just needs a little mud on Corusoes lol. Make a wardrobe out of the doors or put them on a bace (face and back)of a kitchen island.

Just a recommendation I saw in this Japanese video. The homeowner built a simple ikea style shoe storage for outside the home and then decorated it with 2 pots of flowers. It looks really nice and the front door is clear.
My dear Newbys! What a delightful visit we shared this morning, thank you so much. Water is so precious and the most exciting thing to see come out of a hose pipe when previously there was only the watering can. 🎉 Those chickens are in feathered heaven already…striding around in confidently. We have a terrier called Hamish so chickens are not a possibility here. Now you have them I can enjoy them with you without all the work normally involved😅. No watering is required to keep those beaming baby smiles growing…. a little tinker-glint is peeping through as Crusoe grows in confidence…..much fun to come….. love those babes, blessings on you all dear family!

Wood shavings are absolutely ideal to line the chicken coop. Change regularly and the manure and wood chips are ideal composted and added to the veggie patch and garden as well.
Use the doors as doors. One door maybe can be a door on a cabinet in the tiny house. One can be the the head bed in the tiny house. Som people use doors as a tabel with just a glas plate on top to protect it. And is it not possible to use them as doors in the big house when you are getting to work on that house. You John, is a clever builder, you can probably make the door openings so that they fit. And thanks for giving us as nice video twice a week. I really enjoy it. You are clever not having any boring time in the videos. And ofcouse Crusoe is the star. He is an increible fantastic little boy. You have done a fantastic job with him.

My Heritage is so special ! To me the outcome signified the greatest fun and in a way it changed the way i look at myself! By MH I found out 5 years ago i have 10% Italian "blood" ! It was a complete surprise. My family obviously has Mediterranean looks but we always thought " something happened" during the 16th / 17th century when Spanish men conquered the Netherlands where i live. So.....my parents thought we were of Spanish heritage. Long long before this result came out i always felt much more related to the Italian culture and way of life and language (!) not to forget the FOOD ( the healthiest in the world) than to the Spanish. Yes, now that you mention it, birds amazingly do have their own unique personalities. Like your hens, I remember my parakeet Jackie(when I was growing up) and all his little antics. If Crusoe gets excited about making eggs with his dad, which is so cute, I can only imagine when your hens start to drop eggs. You could do a whole episode on Crusoe collecting eggs and frying them up with his dad. And, congrats on reaching a 1,000 subscribers!

You can use one door as a decoration piece and hang your family pictures on it. And maybe with some chalk paint to be able to write messages on it like on a chalkboard.

Hi Newbys Another great video this week. I enjoyed watching John finish building the Chicken coop this week. It brought back alot of fond memories as I grew up with chickens and ducks in my back yard. The old doors are a good score. As you are so handy with your hands you could easily make a coat rack out of one and a bar for the not garage with another one, seeing you intend to start making wine in the near future you could set a small area aside for a wine tasting area.
