Great summary. It brings everything up to date and answers most questions newbies to the channel might have (except wind turbine hahahaha) It also shows how far you've come. I continue to be amazed by how resourceful and resilient you are as a family, and excellent role models for your kids. It'l be fun to see what the future brings for the homestead and for you as a family.

I will admit that when I subscribed about a week and a half ago, I really didn't understand what I was looking at! But I was intrigued and started going back trying to find the beginning of this project which led me to a variety of vlogs/Vids... This is one of the best videos for explaining your vision and I love it! I cannot wait to see where this goes, and meantime I am going back through older videos and find them delightful knowing what i have discovered now. THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING!! You could have done this project and kept it to yourselves, and most of us would have NEVER heard of earthbags or anything about Swales and birms? But the way you teach by "doing" in front of the camera is awesome! I hope you never quit!

This channel is one of my favorites. Watching your family work together to build a home/homestead in the desert using permaculture is so informative and powerful. Knowing that you are going to make a huge difference in your land that will be there for generations to come is so powerful.

City boy here.🖐 I think getting meat from the grocery store on Styrofoam is the least proud way to get meat. There is no remorse or gratitude for the life taken. Just food sold by the pound.

So I’ve been watching this channel on and off maybe for the last six months to a year but now I’ve started watching it all the time love you guys so much. So in this video they mentioned that when they get to 100,000 subscribers they’re gonna get a new puppy. So subscribers our job is to get our friends coworkers relatives let’s get this up to 100,000 ASAP so this lady can have Her new puppy. I think we could do this relatively fast over the next couple months. So keep in mind and I will keep reminding you 100,000 100,000. That’s the goal folks let’s give them what they want.

Love this video with your summary of projects. Big fan from Tucson here. Keep the videos and projects coming! I love to learn about adobe buildings, straw buildings, earthships, etc. You and great examples of modern homesteaders, using old and new technologies, love it! Loved seeing the “game plan”. Are there other houses in your area built with the same technique. You mentioned considering straw bale building. Are there other options, aside from conventional stick build or manufactured homes, that you decided against? Vinyl fence posts were interesting. I watch a lot of homesteaders all over the country and they all use the tried and true green metal posts. Just started watching a couple building in the middle of the eastern Canadian Forrest. So much the same and yet so different. Can hardly wait for NineNine to get his puppy. 👍🏻🤗

For several months now, you've been my morning inspiration/breakfast cup of coffee. (I only allow myself one per day -- and overcaffeinated me is not a productive me). I totally get your recent need for a break, but was just a little sad not to get my daily Tiny Shiny view of your latest. Then...I remembered your backlog of videos. So, while you are taking your well-earned break, I'll rewatch. And maybe take some notes. I'm renovating a 1980s mobile home. Water is plentiful here, and the electric coop provides standard electrical at a reasonable rate. But I've longed for solar/wind/alternative power since I had to pay my first electric bill -- and that's been a while ago. Plus, you have so many other projects, such as the raised beds and the chicken garden. I'm so glad to have this bank of videos to watch, and hope you are having a great time getting caught up. (Caught up is always good. Whatever 'caught up' might be...I'm usually behind on something.) Best wishes, and looking forward to when you start making new videos.

We are in a completely different climate - northerners (so cold and snow need consideration for us) - but are very intrigued by alternative building methods and looking to add an off-grid solar system to our homestead this year. Inspiring projects! In Finland they started to use sand silos to store heat to heat up communal swimming pools and official buildings. Alot of new techniques are on the way.

We did the same thing on our farm with the water pump. They work great! We supply our cabin, water troughs ,barn all off of a camper pump. We did have problems with the pressure switches on the pumps burning up but if you just take those off the pump will still work. Love y'alls place!
