you know your content is fire and you've cultivated a great community when after 12 hours you have 5.5k views from 7.4k subscribers - always look forward to climbing into bed and pressing play when i see you've uploaded mate. Will definitely get some merch soon!
Fairly new subscriber, and I am thoroughly enjoying watching. I have not golfed in 20 odd years, but am interested in picking it back up and a bit more seriously. Watching an average player play and review things without bias is great for 95% of the golfing community. Don't ever change that.
Solid round Luke, your game is improving greatly. Loving the 2 iron you sure have found a club which is a keeper. I enjoyed your Gran Canaria series, those sceneries where marvelous. Cheers mate keep those quality videos coming.
Thanks for the preview mate, am here on golf vacation and all your vlogs are excellent preparations for our round! Hope to hit em balls as well as you though! Super nice round
Just found this channel and I love it. Just got back into golf after not playing for over 8 years and these videos just want to get me out and playing. Keep up the great work.
First timer to this channel - really good video. I had the absolute pleasure of playing Anfi Tauro last month, as well as Meloneras, wonderful wonderful course and worth every penny.
That was a very enjoyable video. I love when I play with some wonderful people and we cheer each other on. It makes for a great day. Thanks for the shout out on the new merchandise. I will definitely go and buy some after this comment. I wish you all the luck and want to see you grow your channel in the future.
really enjoying your videos, as somebody who has only started 6 weeks ago, your giving me a lot of help just by having these videos available to watch, look forward to what's next for you!
Beautiful course, and not a bad round all things considered. Given difficulty I’d be pumped with how ya finished up. Another great video. Best of luck to you, Fents and Woody in the Road to the Belfry!
Just getting into actually playing myself, found your channel a little while ago and enjoy how relaxed and real it feels. If you ever find yourself in Dubai, let’s have a round 👊🏼
Great vlog I’ve just got back into golf almost a year now! In fact I’ve just joined my old club again. I really enjoy watching the videos it sort of takes the pressure off, gives me a lot more confidence👍
Just bought one of your caps. They're sweet. Love your content and delighted to be able to support the channel. Will send you a pic from the lads golfing weekend in West Sussex in a couple of weeks. 🤜🤛
It's fun to watch someone who is enjoying golf. You are athletic and young. Lots of years to enjoy. You might enjoy it more if you got some putting lessons. A little help with the swing, but mostly the putter! Have fun out there!
Great design on many of those courses where the wayward shots often bounce back into the fairway off rock banks, love it! Makes me want to go there, well done.
G-day Luke, that looked like fun. Thanks for your encouragement recently and I'll be sure to keep your thoughts in mind. I watched one of your early rounds before this one, got to say mate, your consistency, particularly with your driver, and long irons is noteworthy both then and now. I'll probably give it another go next week, thanks for the inspiration.
Aha the consistency comes and goes Paul! I'm in the middle of a real struggle with my driver. Some days it's great, some days I can't keep the ball in play. All the best!
Yaaaaas the lads on tour 👍🏻😁🏌️♂️ I can only imagine the carnage u 3 will b causing 🤣 can’t wait to watch the footage 👏 Good round tho m8 u came thru ur wee wobbly on the back 9 there but all in all a decent score of 91 well played 👏 🏴
ever since i learned to turn my shoulders out when putting and sorta locking them in place, ive gotten a lot more accurate and consistent with the pendulum motion when putting. getting the club head square on the ball is most key even if the swing isnt straight.
What a lovely looking course great video too, well played Luke your putting was pretty solid tbf anytime your in the northeast England and fancy taking on the lads from CLgolf both 17HC give us a shout ⛳️
Great rounds, watching makes me wanna go play golf. You are inspiration for starter golfers like myself. Had a starter lesson last week and I can see in your putts what the instructor was telling to us. Your back swing is much lower then where your putter ends up after the swing. Saw it in this video so just heads up for you may cause some inconsistency in distance as u accelerate with the putter. Keep up the good work !
I enjoy you’re channel because you show how the majority of us golfers play. I do have a question for you. What 2 iron do you hit? Is it a “driving iron”? Thanks for your video.
im a mid handicapper that's struggled with chunking the ball...totally fixed it when I got my lie angle flat...toe up in the stance makes the heel dig into the ground. Raise the hands and lower the toe, may help.
Aww nice video! 44 on first 9 is great! yeah that par 3 really messed you up, otherwise you would be 40-42 or even lower! wierd coming back in you pretty much played bogey game and scored a lot higher!
You should work on that drill where you place a wedge under your trail heal and to force you to keep that foot down longer. That may help keep you from standing up out of your swing and flipping. 👍🏼
You will be living out there soon 😂. Great round aside from the triples. Good luck in the tournament, if it’s stableford don’t let a bad hole get up you and you will score very well
Those two triples were a killer. You were breaking 90 with a bit to spare without them. You played very well apart from those two though. But I do hate those one handed tap ins. Asking for a miss. I only do that when it’s 3 inches or less from the hole. Nothing worse than a sloppy stroke on the card for the sake of a couple of seconds. That course though. Spectacular. Like a video game.
New to your channel mate and really enjoying it! I just watched a video you done on how you improved....how would you say you eliminated the fat/thin shots?? Any tips?? That's what I've been struggling with for years! Cheers
Thanks! We've got a little trip planned up to Dunbar near Edinburgh in July and have a few course lined up there. Looking forward to getting ruined by some proper links courses haha! Gran Canaria only has about 7/8 courses on the island I think and they all are on the premium side. Most of them are about 120/140 Euro per round. They are very good though (although I heard from a few people that Maspalomas Golf Course wasn't up to much so we never played that one)
And this, folks, is an average golfer, at least average among those serious enough about the sport to get a handicap. The only thing I'd note is you play a bit more within yourself than many 15 HC I have played with. I play with guys in the mid-teens who perhaps hit the ball more purely, but who make less wise choices.
Only have 2 things to say 1, some nice shots, well judged distances 2, DIVOTS!!!!! don't just stamp on the ground, put the divot back - - - our greenkeepers will either tell you to do it, or more likely have your membership revoked
@@UpDownGolf your technique is so bad man and you need to improve otherwise it should be around 25 30 , its unfair for golfer who working so hard to play on 15 handicap then watching you easily 15 handicap with poor skill
I assume it's an old 2i so more like a modern 4i (18 degrees or so). Im probably a 15 handicap and play an 18 iron off the fairway instead of a wood or hybrid. A shorter shaft helps me hit it far more consistently.
Please fix that swing😅 Playing for slices and knocking drives 210 yards is what 75 year olds do when their body is knackered. You're young n fit..no excuse. Not being harsh but your skill ceiling will be low if you don't pretty much start from the beginning.
