This video is all about my next phase of CRNA school! I have finished my first 15 months of didactic (front loaded program), and am on to the next phase- clinical rotations! This video is all about preparing for/what to expect during clinical rotations of anesthesia school!

Hey man, I'm an aspiring SRNA student here just about to start in the CICU next month, currently a PACU Nurse and been following up with your videos. I see you don't get that many views but it's probably because it's a niche market your recording for but please keep making videos! I've been learning so much from you and trying to mentally prepare for the grind! Like me, there are many others here and I think I can confidently say that we appreciate you big time!

You're totally gonna rock clinical, David!!! Look forward to following along on your exciting journey! On a side-note, I recently heard that one of the CRNAs at my hospital did the bulk of his clinical time here instead of rotating to other locations. He had such a great vibe with his preceptors that they contacted his school and asked if he could just stay. 😂🤷‍♂

It must be nice to know you have your NP license to fall back on. I would think it takes some of the pressure off

Awesome!! I really would like to see the simulator lab 🥼 since it was hard for me to go to college to be a CRNA because of my cerebral palsy, I really wanted to be a CRNA! Great loogies at 7:01 it’s a guy thing lol! I have had 14 surgeries because of my cerebral palsy, I’m 33 from Memphis! You’re gonna be a great CRNA! You got this!! You rock man! I always learn a lot from you!! I got a OR tour in October of 2022, it was awesome

Hey man, I’m a CSICU nurse in a big lvl 1 center and I’m loving it. So much exposure to so many things and random specialities that only exist here. CRNA has been the plan for so many obvious reasons but what really excites me is blending anesthesia and ccm. I don’t think CRNAs are being utilized as critical care practitioners in icu or ED settings and probably won’t be, but if I also had my ACNP do you think I could float between the two like anesthesiologist ccm docs do? I know you are an AGACNP so I’m particularly interested in your answer on this. I’ve done research and haven’t found any definitive answers.

I am in 4th sem nursing school right now and I am so burnt out. Studying about 6-8 hours a day for 24 days now. I am so nervous I don’t have what it takes to survive CRNA school. How do you prevent burn out and keep your mind willing to study after a long day? I have ADHD so my adderall only works so long 😵‍💫

Awesome video!! I was wondering how did you research your school and find out that they are geared toward preparing you to practice independently? I am on the East Coast but I am interested in being prepared to work independently! Do you have a list of schools you recommend looking into?

Hey! Such a good question. I will be completely honest with you- I had NO idea about this when I was looking into schools. I didn't know this was a thing until after I started school. I wanted to spread the info in the video, just bc I didn't have the slightest idea prior to starting. My advice would be to do this: see if you can find schools that have rotations in independent practices (where I am, we do over 90% of our rotations in independent CRNA only sites).
