Cosby was a true superstar and a prominent Black man in the community. sadly, his extracurricular activities chopped him down. Portier was a serious actor and no one knew he was a great comedy man. One of the funniest scenes ever put to film. When Cosby started chuckling at Little Seymour I lost it, but when Big Percy and his echo walked in - he knew it was game over and started gripping, "See I have this card... and Steve, come and apologize to Mr. Seymour!" The characters names, the old city, the cars, the clothes and dialogue just kept coming hilariously scene after scene making this comedy (and the other two) all time greats for me. Even had Schlitz beer on the table too. Whenever I think about these movies I start laughing!

The late, great Ernie Ladd would have been fantastic as Big Percy. He was 6-9 and 325 lbs and with all due respect, meaner than the actor who played him.
