I have binged watched several of your videos since discovering your channel today. I have to tell you I subscribe to several "plat RU-vidrs" and you are my favorite so far to watch. You explain in an easy way to follow and I have learned so much already. I can't wait to transition my vine plants to moss poles. I'm obsessed. Thank you

My Dragon Tail needs chopping. I'm going to be brave, like you, and do it today. I've heard that plants really do appreciate being tamed. The energy can concentrate on new growth instead of getting taller and taller. Glad I found your channel.

I went to this department store looking for trimmings to make my Easter hat, and surprisingly came upon moss. Yippee. On my way, just need Leca now.

I have several of these. I call them Mr. Whackadoodle because they put out like 4-6 foot long leafless vines. Drives me nuts! I have chopped a few times. I find them very reluctant to root as well.

I Was Cutting Up The Leggy Vines Of My Decursiva Cuttings Last Night. Two Of The Cuttings Are Growing In The Cups Of Sphagnum Moss They Came In... And A Third Is Rooting In Water Because Of The Size And Condition I Received It In. Mine Will Get Potted Up In Soil... SO I Think I've Decided To Leave Them To Root Up A Little Longer Most Likely Until The End Of The Month.

I bought one of these about 3 weeks ago and it's trying to commit suicide. Leaves turning YELLOW. I haven't drowned, it honest! 🤥I gave it new soil, put a trellis in the pot, lassoed a couple of long stems and now I've lost 4 yellow leaves. I did water it a bit after putting it in new soil. If it gets leggy like yours I will chop-chop like you did here. There are 5...FIVE...new shoots coming up. I'm very excited. Thanks for this information.

From what I understand the “leggyness” on vining plants like this, while can be reaching for light, when it is near the end of the pole or support it is often looking for support.

Hello I thought I found the plants I wanted for now until I seen the dragon tail and in mature form. 😍 I know compared to your other plants it prob needs babying but I think I'm going to buy one now. I have purchased a few plants only because I saw how they looked in mature form not just a tiny plant like other channels show. 😊

Hey there Nora! I was wondering if you could leave a link to where Growth Technology products are available in the US? I saw you posted an Instagram link for a Canadian source but I don't have an Insta account so cant see it😥 Also wanted to say that I love your channel and have already watched nearly all of your videos in the week since I discovered you! Hope I can be as prolific a plant parent as you one day.😁

How did you know your Dragon Tail would do well in Lece?

Do you prefer leca over other mediums? I want to try leca but I'm afraid I won't use it properly.
@TheLecaQueen
@TheLecaQueen 2 года назад
Yes leca is my go to. I felt exactly like you do before I started. It all seemed so intimidating but the minute I tried it I realised that it is not hard at all and the rest as they say is history!
@hanzadee4349
@hanzadee4349 2 года назад
I've been using leca for two years and now I've given up. Roots are never completely happy. Look at the roots in the video. These are not healthy plant roots. Initially the roots grow very well, but then they deteriorate. Especially in winter, the roots begin to rot. I switched to a mix of Cocopeat and leca instead. I'm still waiting for the results.

@@kat7777 I'm thinking any that doesn't mind their roots in media. I just got into orchids and use them for my dendrobium and Cattleya. But a lot of people use them for houseplants because the media doesn't breakdown over time. If u look up aquaponics it will pop up even more. It seems like an easier watering method ir self watering hack.

@@kat7777 my bad..hydroponics or semi hydro. The other is similar but includes fish and creates a micro environment where your fish fertize your plants..lol

Seems a huge pot for the amount of roots?
@TheLecaQueen
@TheLecaQueen 11 месяцев назад
The roots are very prolific so that is just fine. Also growing in leca is a bit different than in soil, size of the pot does not matter as much so I actually tend to use a larger pot if I know the plant has prolific roots.
