Thank you! I just got one of these with a long leggy stem coming out of the plant! I staked it up. I am hoping that it will grow leaves on the stem and thrive. I have wanted one of these plants for awhile. I finally found one! Thanks for the info.

Good tips but it took a lot of repetition and stalling to get there. Thank you for your advice but it feel it could have been done a LOT quicker.

Great video. When you cut the leggies off your decursiva, did it put out new stems on the mother plant from that cut spot and become a bushier plant? I noticed she's full, not just single stem coming out of the soil like mine, which I got as a two inch plug a year ago. I have a stem over a foot long that I haven't staked. I don't know how to get it to stake. It has a very thick and stiff stem and doesn't seem to want to climb, but I can't find an ID for a fenestrated plant that crawls and it looks like a decursiva, so I finally decided that's what it is. Any tips for forcing a hard thick stem to climb when it seems determined to crawl would be appreciated too.

Thank you!! My beloved decursiva decided it had enough leaves and has just been growing a massive runner for the last 4-5 months (after I staked it!). I think I know what do to do now to get it back on track and I'm ever so relieved that I'm not the only one dealing with this. The only question left is whether I should plant the new props back in the main pot when the time comes 😉

If you are putting it on a moss pole does this mean it will develop water roots?

Hi Tyler! I got the nerve to trim my leggy raphidophora decursiva after watching this video. Where do you keep your propagations? I want to make sure mine are in the right conditions. Also, do you change the water and how often?

I have already used stick to stay it upright but it keeps going up and up and my stick has ended.. what to do.. i like more them to grow horizontally not vertically as in a few months i have to add more supports.. don’t know how to add my plants pic into comments so you get better idea what I’m talking about..

Gonna prop mine too, do I have to wait till spring to prop and also repot?

Hello I wonder if decursiva is a crawler, not a climber ?

I have one that is growing leggy. I will def stake it up. I have mine also on a west window.

I have my Rhaphidophora decursiva for over s year so I decided It was time to report it. After I did . It went down hill. Now it looks droopy and sad . The plant is no yellow leaves or anything like that it just droopy. 😞 Don't know what I did wrong!!😑😑😑😑

Mine is suddenly getting super laggy with no leaves and you mentioned that it might be looking for light. It’s gotten super laggy with no leaves so I’m afraid I will kill it if I attempt to cut and propagate :( would moving to a different place with more light help?
