My favorite actor is David Chiang because I grew up in the 70s back in my home country, I still watch his movie from time to time even today’s.

Jet li was my first martial arts crush, second to Jackie Chan, before Bruce Lee, i was so facinated by the ferocious skill by Bolo yeung, i love the calmness, skill and speed of Donnie Yen (Ip man), i love Sammo hung for his comedy like martial arts type of movie, Tony Jaa( Ong bak is so much incredibly skilled, These actors made my childhood days, and i respect them so much cause unlike Hollywood, these asian actors have remained true and respected with no social media drama, Cuddles to all asian actors, keep it up🎉

Dragon Lee is 83 yrs old not 63 Zhang ZiYi is the Younger Female Actor while Cheng Pei Pei is the Older Female Actor

Although Bruce Lee was my introduction to Martial Arts movies, I think that most of the actors on this list each have their own set of merits, though I admit that there are a couple that I have not been introduced to yet. I think one of the most important things about Bruce Lee was that he paved the way for each of the others to be able to break into a non-Asian market, while Jackie Chan's obviously unique style of using the surrounding objects (and not necessarily objects intended as weapons, etc.) and comedic charm did him a lot to charm him with Western audiences (I think his time in the Chinese opera company served him well). The summary of Dragon Lee did my brain in though (and I really don't want to sound picky or pedantic). You mentioned at the beginning of his section that he was born in South Korea in 1940, yet at the end, and while I was trying to find him on IMDB, you mentioned that he was 63 (leaving a deficit of 20 years)- so could anyone clear this up for me. I tried looking on IMDB but, unless he westernised his name to be more appealing to a wider audience, I cannot find him listed for either of the films you mentioned. I would also appreciate knowing if this is the case, so that I can hunt out more of his films. Any help deeply appreciated. Thanks! xox

My top two from this list would have to be Gordon Liu and Jet Li. Absolutely well disciplined martial artists. Jet Li even trained the Chinese military in Wushu.

Chang Pei Pei seems like a wonder woman inspiration for chinese culture; that is quite fascinating.

jet li was the introduction even though i read tao of jeet kun do, and jackie is basically on my list too, but some of his stunts are insane. major thumbs up to all three.

I've binge-watched so many martial arts movies when growing up, good times! Some of my favorite stars are not on this list though. Lee Yi-Min, Hwang Yang Lee, Carter Wong, Lo Lieh, Mark&Jack Long, Simon Lee, Chang Yi, many more!

If anyone is actually interested in martial arts or read the news, Donnie Yen is a very selfish man. He purposefully hit his acting partner, Wu Jing (who is also a very famous martial artist) so hard that he couldn’t act anymore, wu Jing is more famous than a lot of people, not sure why he is not in this list. Donnie has done a lot of bad deeds to eliminate his competitors 😅
