@@lotusblack7535 i'v been interested in keyboards for 2 weeks. So far, i've modded my corsair strafe with band aid, foam and lube. And I've built a wooden GK61X with gatheron milky yellow pros and super thick soft keycaps, bandaid mod, holee mid, pcb foam mod, tape mod, case foam mod, lubed, durock modified and lubed stabs. This hobby is just a wallet blackhole
@@adrianne3060 Keychron mass produces and it’s quality is much better, not an excuse. My switches are still lubed stock from keychron 2 years after use.
This is genuinely the first time I've ever been satisfied with (at?) a spacebar sound test. All other sound tests just sound like boring old keyboard sounds, but this, this is something truly otherworldly and pure auditory bliss. Thank you for sharing this because it is so amazing but at the same time screw you because I know I'll never be able to replicate this perfectly and I'll forever be chasing that dragon lol
You’re relatively new to mechanical keyboards then right? There are honestly a ridiculous amount of videos and channels that have shown off space bars that sound just as good
@@sleeperthoee I know this is a really late reply, but no, I've been around the mechanical keyboard hobby for a couple years, I just dont care much to get involved in it myself. I enjoy watching people review things like switches and boards in videos and such, but I'm contempt with my bone stock logitech keyboard (other than the stabs, those things suck, but at least it's a functioning keyboard yk).
idk why people love mechanical keyboards , I tried out one clicky bule on a retail store nearby(in india you have very limited mechanical ekyboard vchoises) and I freaking hated it . Membrane feels more responsive and feels the same in all price ranges . I feel it is the go to if you are not a gamer
I did the same thing to one of my super cheap Amazon budget boards a while ago. Amazing how much just 205g0 lube can help stabs with eliminating rattle and have good sound.
@@N00TBond if you get it from Amazon you have 30 days to return I’m pretty sure and if you have prime there’s 90 day coverage so if a few of the switches “break” you could get a refund or credit to your account
And then there's me who tried every mod and lube in existence and still cant get rid of that one ticking stabilizer only to find out thay my spacebar was warped.
The type of keycaps and style of keycaps make it sound like that, I used cherry style ones and they don't sound like that. But my sa style keycap spice bar sounds like that:)
clip ins are stabs that clip onto the pcb. If these are plate mounted i think u should just say plate mounted stabs instead of clip ins just so that ppl wont be confused 👍
@@kinglegodud7143 Honestly, people tend to judge razer’s old products which is pretty bad. I know Razer has has a lot of issues as a company and as a brand. it affects their reputation you could say. Also, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend razer to someone who values their money, the thing is, you can find a similar keyboard that is less expensive than any razer keyboard. So why buy a razer keyboard. Overall, razer’s newest products isn’t half bad.
Completely unrelated to the keyboard, but you mind sliding in the name of that mouse pad? been trying to find an appealing black mousepad for a while now. Keyboard sounds great tho :)
Literally two days ago I came across a keyboard vid and was like ??? Who cares what a keyboard sounds like and now thanks to the tons of videos I’ve seen since, I watched this vid, raised my eyebrows, and went “damn that’s an impressive sounding spacebar”
Thats typically all you have to do with durocks, gat inks, owlstabs, etc. with lube and some dielectric grease if you know what you’re doing. You said these were the stabs that came with the board right?
If your trying to get rid of the clack..silicone inside the bar itself to deaden the high frequency there, put a dab under the clips (think how you can deaden a ringing bell by simply touching it). If you wanna go all out you can coat the majority of the metal with silicone or use fine silicone tubing for a sleeker look. Deadening sound in such a small area shouldn't cost you anything at all really. I got a board kit coming with an alu plate, I'm going to give soft conformal spray coating a try. Most of the sound will be coming straight from the keycap though, it resonates and acts almost like a speaker cone.
Ok seriously, I always used some 30 bucks logitech keyboards for ever and some weeks ago I found out about this whole mechanical keyboard switches thing. That spacebar sounds EPIC. where can I find keyboards like that with german layout and full size (need full size for work)? Please help, thanks
That's because PLATE MOUNT CLIP INS are the best and most... STABLE stabilizers. No pcb screw in stabs come close. I don't get the hype of the screw in stabs, wobbly as hell if you don't have very tight tolerance in the switches :/
