If you do not like people getting into your personal space do not buy this. Total strangers have stepped in to get a better smell. This is a complement magnet. Women, men, old, young, stranger and friend have complimented me on this fragrance. Great performer!!
I am glad you took the time to review and compare. There are some issues though. You are comparing 2017 (or before) batches vs the new EDP. The new EDP is actually not limited edition anymore if you buy the 200 ML or 150 ML versions. I have a 200 ML bottle of EDP. It is a 12/19 batch. Comparing vs my 8/19 or 7/19 batch, there is very little difference. Longevity is identical. The only significant difference between EDP and EDT right now is that the opening is slightly less lemon in EDP. When I say this, it's literally at most 10%. This however, is debatable because I also have 5/19 batch and a few 18 batches. The lemon in those is a bit more muted as the current EDP. The lemon was smoothed out but increased in new batches. So in other words, after the black sprayer was made, the lemon was reduced and as it has further been produced, they have went ahead and made the lemon stronger again but made it smoother. But, again, EDP vs EDT? Barely a difference current vs current. I sprayed them side by side. My 7/19 batch is the strongest in fruit/citrus, but still the EDP is really, really close. 8/19 EDT smells identical to 12/19 EDP minus small variances. Again, same exact longevity. I say this, because I have 12 bottles of CDNIM. I know, I need to sell a few. 😅 Anyway, I just think that you have this idea that CDNIM has stayed exactly the same overtime because you've read fragrantica comments and fused that feedback coming to a census that they're all basically the same. Not true though FYI. They're not all the same. Newer batches of EDT are so close to the EDP you'd be surprised. Also, newer batches are much better than even 18 batches. You could buy a current bottle to compare. It's only $30ish. Food for thought. Newer batches have great performance and great longevity still; more natural too. The best way to describe the current EDP is that it basically smells like a slightly more dense version of early to mid 2019 versions of the EDT. Very small differences though. Mid to late 2019 versions of the EDT smell juicier and punchier. Lastly, this is not me picking up minor differences between the EDT/EDP because I'm a "fan boy". I let a female friend blind pick between an 18 batch and 19 batch and she chose the 19 batch. A lot better in my opinion. I think the EDP is basically the same as the current EDT, but it's been built to build more hype for the fragrance in general. Also, it's in a 200ML bottle, so they can move more product at once. Now, I haven't smelled any batches of the EDT beyond August 2019. So, I don't know how those versions stack up vs EDP. They've taken out Hydrxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde. So, by taking this out possibly it affected newer batches of EDT and EDP? The 8/19 batch I have still has this in it. Maybe that is why it lasts as long as the EDP that doesn't have it. All speculation there.
Limited Edition is different than the EDP...you can check on Armaf Facebook page. Many people ask if there is a difference and they said that they are different fragrances. I personally have both Edt (2019) and Limited Edition and in my opinion Limited Edition is alot better just like Ash said.
Awesome review as always! Personally I dont mind clones review. Having slight variations and save $100+ each, yeah I am all for it. It actually makes the original more valuable when I finally decide to save up for it.
I appreciate the videos, I could afford the Creed, but I could never see paying that much money> I really appreciate the value of ARMAF and your videos
Just started wearing it again with the warmer weather and it is legit. I am super impressed with it. There is ZERO reason to spend 300/bottle on creed. Lets not forget CREED is like so 2 days ago.
Club de Nuit Intense or limited edition is that close to Aventus? can you help me describe this parfum, i heard this is synthetic and smell bad at beggining. How it is :D
A top tip for people thinking of buying this - I have samples of all three fragrances - club de nuit (normal and limited edition) and aventus. I would actually say the normal CDN is a closer fit to aventus than the limited edition. However the limited edition is a more rounded fragrance in all the ways stated in this vid. If you're torn between the two I would just stick with the normal. It's cheaper and still a great smelling fragrance
@@Anonymousname1 Amazon. About a year ago. Have bought another since then and it seems to be the same formula. Its a bit stronger out of the sprayer than Aventus but dries down to pretty much the same scent.
The black atomizer bottles are way weaker than the silver top bottles. Some people say the new formulation smells better, less alcohol smell and less of the pinesol vibe, but I still like the original formulation better.
Price is still the issue, at £50+ is the cheapest I could find which is way too much for a clone. The better option is to purchase the CDNIM concentrated perfumed oil which is even better than the CDNIM edt and edp put together as it's pure oil. Less is more and it comes in a 20ml bottle seen in amazon for £30. Ash get your hands on the oil and review ✊
The Limited Edition batch from 2021 comes in a night black velvet fabric bag. The ribbon is black, there is no more an eye on the packing. But the greatest difference is that it is a parfum now. First encounter is dominated by pineapple, so not even mentioned in the description. I wish I could say more, but I do not have the normal edt, nor the older LE, nor the Aventus. I can say that the 2021 LE is presented as precious as a royal gift and is very pleasing to my not so trained olfactory system.
people here complaining about CDNIM how awful the opening is and how poor longevity is.. I've owned many colognes throughout my life and consider myself a frangrance enthusiast. I owned the original Aventus and yes, it is an outstanding fragrance. One of my absolute favorite. Now, I've been probably through 4 or 5 bottles of CDNIM ( yes I wear it very often cause it's THAT versatile ) And I've never gotten more compliments to ANY frangrance than to CDNIM.. not even real Aventus. Random people stopping me asking me what is it I'm wearing all the time.. women and guys alike. Never had problem with longevity and even after 6 hours of manual labour when I couldn't smell it anymore I've gotten compliments on how great I smell.. Do I personally like Aventus more? yea.. it's like a fine wine much more balanced with a playful notes.. but most people won't know a difference between a $30 bottle and $130 bottle.. I personally love the ''harsh'' opening of CDNIM but to each it's own.
FWIW, i got myself a bottle of armaf club de nuit EDT from the november 2019 batch, and it was utterly disappointing as the scent barely lasted a few hours on my skin.
CDNIM original for me was very close to older batches in the dry down. What i didn't like about it is the citrus element didn't smell like the newer batches of Avenus... such as 13zz01 14s01 etc. Can't put into words the difference, but a lot of the newer clones have nailed it better. such as alexandria brazil prive, or Montagne parfums pineapple royale etc. How would you say this CDNIM limited edition compares to MB explorer? I was thinking of trying/getting the explorer version.
You have to be careful where you buy CDNIM. Many complain but don't realize they've purchased adulterated bottles. Read this comment to another CDNIM video. It describes everything one should be on the lookout for when buying CDNIM: imgur.com/NypP8I1
I see a lot of people in the comments suggest Montblanc Explorer as a better alternative. I do not understand, however, why there is no mention that the projection and longevity of Montblanc Explorer are terribly weak? Within a few hours, nothing was felt, from the already prevailing synthetic odor. And, in the little time that smells, it only feels when you are very close to the skin. That's the truth, which is completely normal, considering it's just a low-budget copy.
I sprayed both Aventus and Club EDT. The Creed had a lot more bergamot opening and the Club with the black sprayer had more pineapple than what I expected. Creed by far has long, long performance with consistent pineapple and citrus, but the newer Club seemed to smell very similar to Creed, but with more pineapple. The performance is limited though with the Club.
Just as got my decant of Creed Aventus and Mancera Cedrat Boise and Roja Elysium. I already had a bottle of Armaf CDNIM. Cedrat Boise = fruitiest opening CDNIM = smokiest Elysium = sharpest but synthetic? Aventus = in between smoky and fruity Agh, my untrained nose is having a hard time with all of these scents. Haha
I'm sorry but you can't put Mancera Cedrat Boise in this category the perfume is unique. Opening is very fruity and you have this amazing musk smell afterwards. Armaf is near or identical to Aventus, someone once stopped me and thought I was wearing Creed so I went along with it and he actually believed in the end I told him it CDIM. Mancera Cedrat Boise and CDMI are both my favourite, but you cannot put it in the same category. Well that's if you are comparing them that is.
@@Eagonite yes, Cedrat Boise goes in a totally different route. I just thought to compare them because that's what I have on hand and some people compare them. L'aventure, Pineapple Vintage Intense, and Supremacy Silver would be better clone comparisons.
@@mikes41720 Those that haven't tried Mancera Cedrat Boise, I recommend it 100% but I have a feeling they have reformulated the perfume. Honestly it's a 9/10 for smell 7/10 for performance. I agree with you on L'Aventure that definitely smells very fruity/citrusy. Basically a fruity clone of Aventus. My Armaf (2019 Batch) smells smoky, the dry downs on my skin is sweet citrus. Performance isn't great.
You’re the best reviewerer , thanks for the advice on this one !!! Personally I love to hit the old cdnim for 3-4 sprays just prior to leaving to go out and then right when I arrive one spray of aventus to the neck/chest!!! Saves money !!!!
I always pick edp rather than edt because in my country the edt cost around $45 buck and edp is $50 buck. The demand is really high for edt. One more thing armaf milestone is $40 buck which is cheaper and always on stock because nobody are buying that.
@@doupe9768 yeah bro I’d just stick with the EDT. It’s cheap which is how it’s marketed- an affordable aventus alternative. No point in paying $50+ when I could just get something from a better house. And btw, I love the EDT and get tons of compliments at work. EDP or Parfum is only more refined but unnecessary for most people
@@zachcozad740 agree. EDT is what makes it famous in the first place. Better spl than the 'refined'. i mean i have pure parfum, the spl is so bad they say i have to macerate it. Opening is better, but the dry down is the same with edt
Just received the edp and it’s too subtle now sure if I should have gotten the edt. Also never tried creed aventus. I also bought armaf legesi seems to last longer. I like it better. Ppl say it smells like channel egoist never tried it either. I’ll give the fragrances a few days. And that’s my first impression of these scents My main go to fragrances : Issey men, isssey noir, Tom Ford men hanae Mori
I have bottles the edt from around 2016 and they're absolutely stunning.... Was so impressed I bought around 11 bottles as I was so blown away....smelt exactly like Creed aventus to me......silage and longevity are truly outstanding..... Always gains compliments.....
You bought them in 2016 or recently? Where did you purchase them from? I heard there has been reformulations to recent batches and that they are weaker...
@@atsusanoumegah646 I am from the UK I bought them in 2016 after buying one bottle and thinking wow this is amazing..... I keep them stored in my cellar I'm only on my third bottle..... I have no idea about reformulation... But the bottles I have are absolutely fantastic... Heavy silage and projection longevity....
I bought the EDT version 2 months ago. Of course, I did it online, so I didn't smell it. It smells entirely of lemon and is super strong on the opening.
I own both. Personally I can notice the difference significantly. Even those around me. I get non stop compliments wearing aventus (at least 6 times a day; no exaggeration). For armaf, I’ve only gotten one compliment from my supervisor (she asked what fragrance I have because she wanted to buy it for her husband). So I use it as a room deodorizer more than a fragrance for myself. I do hear great things about armaf but it just isn’t for my taste. I was wearing ysl la Nuit de l’homme for the longest and when I first tried aventus, I was not a fan of it since i’ve never use a fresh scent before. Thought it smelled like cheap like the barbershop but the more I smell it, the more I became addicted. Now I don’t think I can go back to ysl.
I like to combine parfums just for that unique touch. Listen if you want a game changer try to put one layer of Armaf Limited edition + Cedrat Boise , obviusly depends on the noose but for me is a killer compliment all the way up and down...
also if you wanna be beast mode and like the smoke, try one bottle of Elixir 11Z from Dua , just two spray of those and combine with armaf or cedrat, man aventus is old history, at least for me.
Aishik Ashraf you don’t get a bottle slap with ATH. And you don’t need qualifications to have an opinion on a subjective topic. Just like commenting on RU-vid videos. I have some ATH fragrances, they’re great, but I very much prefer Ash’s reviews to Aaron’s.
I dislike the opening on Club de Nuit intense but the dry down is tolerable. In my opinion pineapple intense and emperor from parfum vintage are the best Aventus clones hands down. The ladies at the Creed stand in Neman Marcus thought I was wearing Aventus when I was actually wearing emporer layered with pineapple intense 🤣🤷🏻♂️
I saw a few Limited Edition reviews and yours is by far the most informative. great job. But I am still unsure because I don't want to miss the dark smokiness and woodiness from the EDT, that's exactly what I like the most in the EDT. is the limited edition more lemonish? That would be a negative for me. I would dislike that. But I like what you say about the vanilla-ish dry-down thing of the limited edition. I don't know what to order now.
i think i missed this video and late to it... but I have a question if you get to read this... What's the difference between the original EDP and this limited edition.. are they very similar?
funny you mentioned this had an expiration date, I have a bottle of CDNIM that spoiled/soured and smells unwearable these days. I got about 3/4 through the bottle though before it happened.
Thats also what I want to find out, the limited edition edp was made in France while the regular 150-200ml edp comes in regular bottles but with a club de nuit intense writing on one side is made in UAE.. I’ve seen reviews saying the ones made in UAE smells superior to the one made in France. Hope someone will be making comparisons about this..
as soon as i heard "limited edition" i lost interest. limited fragrances annoy me to no end....like....why?? why do this?? why make something that people might love and get hooked on, but then not make more if they want it? what's the point? big temporary sales?? wouldn't you rather have long term sales for the next 10years, rather than a boost for a short time??
it's not reallly limited, its price is just higher than normal ver a little bit but not much , maybe 1,2-1,5x than the normal ver, and i think they made limited line for just dicriminate between it with the normal ver.
@@lehoangmanh2301 Not sure if it is really limited or not....but they could have easily called it CDNIM "EDP" like Dior did for Sauvage or Chanel did with Bleu de Chanel. You maybe right tho?
@Eric Salamon, Yeah I hear you. Sometimes Limited Editions are just gimmicks, but sometimes it is because of cost. I'm not sure how much more it costs Armaf to create an EDP over an EDT, but the costs would definitely be more. Also their newer flimsy still box cost more to produce. They still have their EDT available for the cheaper end of the spectrum so not sure what their ultimate strategy is here. Maybe that is why the newer formulations that I've heard is now weaker? Try not to get too jaded about LE. Collectors drive that market. You can always choose to ignore it, but if you do have interest and have opportunity go for it. We only live once.
Armaf club de nuit intense edp is already on sale and it comes similar to the older bottle, the only difference is it has a writing of club de nuit intense on one side of the bottle and it comes in 150ml to 200ml and is made in UAE , let me just clarify that this is not the limited edition. Hope you can make a comparison video of this as I heard people saying the ones made in UEA performs better than the one made in france which is weak.
blackknightdl i wanna get my hands aswell with the one made in UAE, made an order but sadly its gonna take some time to arrive because of the outbreak.
Ash, have you tried Zebra from Rasasi? It's another clone of aventus. I own Aventus, CDNI , vibrant leather, and I could say the best clone I've ever tried is Zebra from rasasi. I would like to see a comparison video from you since you know more about fragances.
The dry down on CDNI is similar to Aventus but not the same in my opinion. It smells "cheaper" if you will. Emporer and pineapple intense are almost spot on Aventus clones from the opening to dry down. They're just kind of pricey for clones.
Donnie Darko i have both .. I really thought that cdni smelled nice .. i wore it for a week and got 1 compliment on it and then someone else said that my cologne smelled like an old man.. that was it for me.. I have emporer EDP and the extrait and they are both great .
I have the edt cdnim 10/2019 batch an the explorer.the explorer lasts much longer than the cdnim, smells much smoother yet more pleasant with better quality as a fragrance! The new armaf has nothing to do with the old ones.my batch lasts 2 hours even when I spray it on a paper or clothes and of course on skin. It smells nice but when it comes smoother on dry down the same time becomes skin scent. So I don't believe the edp will make that difference. If you want better check the oil version
@@nikosmanos5165 what's the batch of yours? I juste got mine and I've never smelled aventus to compare it with? I find it has too much lemon especially in the opening but it lasts 5/6 hours on my skin before it becomes a skin scent.. Thanks bro
This sounds like an improvement to me over the original, although I really don't any more Aventus clones at the moment. I also love Armaf Hunter Intense (Lacoste White clone).
just got the EDT and the limited edition Parfum in that beautiful case. Unfortunately cdnim has nothing to do with aventus, i don't know why all of you reviewers keep comparing those. it's miles away, and not in terms of quality becaus cdnim lasts and is persistent, but the notes, base and the overall smell is totally different, night and day. maybe ONLY now, after 3 days i've sprayed a piece of carton smells just a bit..but only just a bit like aventus...totally different smells
What I dont understand is the packaging box and the box the bottle comes in says limitied edition Parfum, yet the bottle itself says limitied edition eau de parfum. Did Armaf pull the wool over our eyes???? EDT is 8-10% concentrated, edp is 15-18% concentrated and parfum is 20%.... also another thing that confused me is that there is an EDP of CDNIM that comes in 150ml and 200ml, wonder what the difference is between the limitied edition and the already existing CDNIM edp?
Armaf doesn't work on my skin, unfortunately. It turned into an overpowering citrus scent It was a blind buy and it backfired for me. Test it first if you can, just a word of caution.
I have the 2020 EDT and after seeing your review I was excited to order the EDP. Now that I just got it the EDP smells a lot less smokey and watered down, and it barely lasts a hour. I don't know what went so wrong with my bottle.
@@Money-up8bi If you’re going to buy the EDP, spend the extra money and get the limited edition. The 200 ml of non-limited edition batches were all produced in 2020 and are reformulated, performance is lacking so much even in comparison to a 2019 bottle EDT. It’s a lot more pleasant as far as the actual quality of the fragrance goes(has a nice, almost peppery note throughout the duration), it sadly just does not last. The EDP limited edition is spot on, all the elements are there and the performance is outstanding, projecting for hours on end and stays in clothes literally forever. My favorite juice for sure. *I also have a bottle of 2020 produced EDT, performs even worse than the 200 ml EDP and is basically a fruit/vanilla bomb. I would try to get a batch produced prior to 2020 if possible. Perhaps 2021 batches are better, i wouldn’t know.
@@devonpacholik8466 thanks for the feedback. did you also take the maturation/maceration of the 1 year older bottle into account? a bottle that had 1 year longer maceration must smell different, usually, they improve within the first years.it also depends on how much oxygen has entered the bottle. the more the faster it changes.
Wow I just bought this I honestly can not tell the difference between it and Aventus Incredible !! And one more thing -- it lasts way longer than Aventus I have to respray Aventus every 4 hours or so CDNIM, lasts ALL DAY Thank you Love it
Is the Limited Edition a better clone? Is it closer to Aventus? People only buy it because it's like Aventus, so if it's just different and no closer what's the point of spending twice the amount?
Sterling perfumes just announced their new CDNIM EDP in two new sizes 150 and 200 mls on their facebook pages, aside from that special edition 🤔 Are those the same as this in this vid?
