Perverted. Yes. But Kagura has his moments. Wished he smashed his fist in that guy's face (or a silent kill from Hibiki). But, beggars can't be choosers... When it comes to the game that is.
Yeah, well, fist-smashing would've definitely landed him in hot water. Water hot enough that he could've been removed from his post and left in a position where he would've been no use to anyone, even his true lord. So the fact that he could say what he wanted in so eloquent a matter and still get away scot-free is in itself pretty damn impressive. It definitely shows just how worthy he is of his post. I mean, his *true* post.
Dragonpit Not saying he *should* just it'd be really satisfying and one heck of a laugh if it did happen. I don't doubt a physical assault against a member of the 0-Squad would put him in a bind to whatever extent, but as per wishful thinking on my part, I just *reeeeally* want him to punch him. But kudos to him for tolerating that nuisance for as long as he did.
One loves his badass attitude when the time comes. By default, he's a flirty dumbass; but push his buttons and he will turn in the most chivalrous badass you can find anywhere.
Seriously. BlazBlue is one of the somewhat rare instances where the dub genuinely sounds better than the sub, imo. The dub cast was great and the translators always did a nice job with the script for each game.
I totally agree, although he can be perverted, his heart is without a doubt in the right place. Note: He's one of my favourite characters to play in blazblue. XD
Such a great character. He's still my favorite character in Chronopantasma due to how well rounded he is. On the surface I saw him as nothing but the stereotypical anime womanizer who had a good head on his shoulders overall but when I saw this scene I found myself down right appreciating his introduction. He was the breath of fresh air from this justice quibbling and the NOL's bullshit(dare I mention Tsubaki and her stupid ass). Kagura is my boy and ya'll can fight me on that.
Honestly, I may not understand much about blazblues story, but kagura will always be one of my favourite characters, sure he might be kinda perverted, but he is also a complete badass, let's not forget he is cannonically one of the physically strongest characters in the series
How so? The Imperator is a large centralized authority under one person. Kagura is advocating more power towards people and freedoms/liberties. Taking a look at the US situation. Trump is more aligned with Kagura's ideology. A U.N is more akin to the Imperator.
It’s a shame that Kagura’s such a creep around the female characters bc otherwise I like his motivation & this is a p damn good moment from him. Take the creep stuff away from his personality & he’d b a rly good character imo
I think this at least gives him something unique about his character and he does drop the whole act when things are getting serious. If he didn't have that joking, perverted and laid back side to him he'd just be as boring and simple as Bang.
That's japanese "anime" writting for ya. I love blazblue, but like many japanese piece of media I love, there has to be this cringy perverted writting now and then. It's especially dumb for kagura because for someone presented as a womanizer he sure seems to be clueless about how to act around woman to attract them.
He is a really good character. Being good character =/= Being a great person. Does Kagura have flaws? Oh, boy, does he have flaws! Does Kagura have good points? Hell yeah! I think one of the most telling things about his womanizing is one of the intros he has with Makoto, where he runs at her screaming "JUST ONE GRAB" before getting punched in the face. You know that if he *wanted to*, he would get his "just one grab". The guy stood mano-a-mano versus Azrael. He is pretty much the strongest "mortal man" alive, who isn't powered by some magical doodad or another. We've seen how the fight between him and Ragna goes, when Ragna doesn't have Azure Grimoire to fall back onto. He just doesn't want to get "just one grab" by force. Is he a lecherous womanizer? Yes. Does he take it overboard? Also yes. Does he *force* anything on the women around him? Not really, no.
I like both so its interchangeable to me. In english he sounds more fitting of his position, and his perverted comments fit more imo, but the tone of his sarcasm and how intense he is when he shouts the name of his attacks are better in JP. But i like them both equally
Robotto- Kun It might sound weird, but I like it when the speak in english, but them attack names I love it in Japanese. Sounds cooler so I'm kinda on both sides of this.
He actually sounds plenty suave and sarcastic to me, especially in his battle lines. Grant does sort of overdo it on the "cool guy" aspect to him, but it kinda fits.
