This is also why I love them,it's unfortunate that they get a bad reputation for milking GTAO although the game is good (except for griefs and tryhards)

I never saw some of this details especially the one for NPC parking and Lester leaning Rockstar never disappoint

I love how GTA V seems to have a love hate relationship among fans. People who despise the game for lacking many features from IV yet simultaneously praising it for bringing back features from games before IV. And then theirs those who claim V was a rushed job with barely any realism in it yet also point out the many realistic details within the game. Which is it you guys? Lmao

Although I doubt they coded in such a detail, some areas in L.A have parking meters that are only enforced/valid on weekdays or between certain hours, so do the NPCs that ignore the meters consistently do so on certain days or hours?

I hope people realize this is why gta 6 is taking so long. Look at what they did with this game and red dead II. There was seriously someone in charge of NPCs that was like... Ok this is their day.

3:15 i been playing Singal player and cops somtimes stay on scene after a shootout waiting for ems. I added a mod that medics revive downed peds and they change their voicelines from "ah shit we are too late" to "another life saved" meaning rockstar originally planned on keeping GTA4's medical script

Rockstar’s attention to detail is amazing, I think it’s what they strive for ultimately, on top of a realistic presentation of an open world.

Great video, I agree. One thing I love that they worked hard on is the rain details. Even when you drive through a puddle you have cast away splash and ripples etc it’s so cool. Granted it needs a facelift for 2021 but it’s still my fav mmogame.

Fun fact, when new GTA radio stations get added into the game, they include car commercials for some of the new added cars.

I think the "got shot" NPC physics are better in GTA 5 (and even in 4 and RDR) than they are in RDR2.

The detail with the cop investigating a car accident is my favorite. I would just drive around and crash somewhere, then call the cops and just watch what they are doing.

In GTA 6, npcs will have a 32 percent chance to: drop coins at parking meters, smile at their phone in public, and or drop whatever prop they are holding, and then go to a secluded area to cry for 1 - 10 minutes at a time. (Subject to change)

Dang, this is commitment. Now I'm gonna have to start paying attention to these things

Npcs reaction to being shot is always nice sometimes you'll shoot them in the chest and they'll drop to their knees and fall face first

Just remember guys, this stuff was also on the ps3 and xbox 360. Along with the dlcs that og versions got, these details are amazing for what is by today's standards a low end console

Rockstar can put a sticker on a stop sign but can come up with a million excuses on why they can’t patch the Casino Godmode glitch

This type of videos shows why we like Rockstar devs' work, while on the other hand many hate their executives for their business decisions and just lazily decide to generalize the hate towards the company as a whole. Developers do not deserve hate. Even when they are unable to fix every single bug or implement fan-requests into the game, they just show how they love getting their job done well, and how they both used to care about polish and care in making games way back in 2013, and even use to nowadays. It's just the leaders who take debatable decisions, and force developers to apply them to the game possibly against their will at times, and they probably are the ones forcing the continuous updates to their online games, while developers, even while being forced to, still put love and dedication in what they do, whenever they are allowed to by their superiors.

They pay for parking but can't rember to lock their doors.

If the door of the car is open, there will be a continuous beep to let you know that the door is open

A shame this attention to detail hasn't been present in GTA:O for basically half a decade of additional content now.

Another detail: Not so long ago I found out that if you reload an Assault Rifle (tested only with a MK2 rifle) while there's still at least 1 bullet left - it will fly out when reloading, but if you had 0 bullets while reloading - nothing flies out (I don't know how some gun parts are named in English, sorry)

I'm not sure if you know this, but if you outrun those enemies in vehicles, and go back to them, you'll find that in those vehicles, they become civilians.
