true... I kinda feel sorry for how GTA Online overshadows the single player

It's still fun tho. Yes, it has it's downsides, but even that doesn't stop dozens of players (with hi-end modern expensive gaming PCs or with outdated hardware) to play and actually enjoy it.

​​@@Madanbek_The_Dragon_LoverFun =/= immersion Majority of playerbase are kids and adults with kindergarten brains. They don't care. When you see the % on trophies list then you know the mp is much higher with % than sp. Majority just completed prologue and the rest is small %.

Not just many, but all of them. Online removes all random events like this, along with all animals (unless your one of the five sellouts who bought a fourth copy of GTA 5 on the PS5 or Xbox Series X/S). All this just for the game to run slightly better, because Rockstar doesn't understand how to update an online interface they've been using since 2013 on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

GTA 4 had more detail on gameplay details (MINUS COMBAT), GTA 5 had more detail on making a believable world.

@@dimitriousdrake I disagree, GTA 4 combat was superior (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AdoIC2KTbl8.html) the story depth, the character development and physics in GTA 4 was more realistic (and made it a more believable world) GTA 5 made the driving Arcade like (R* admitted it) to make the driving more fun (not realistic) but GTA 5 did have better/more weapon choice vehicle choice not just urban area (desert, forest, mountains...) more diverse NPCs wilde life and pets the last 2 do help in making a believable world

the fact that they are rare makes them feel more "natural" and less scripted

They aren't rare in story mode, but people forget forget about story mode now, because of online.

I mean they are noticeable (some of them for sure), you just need some time to notice them. But I get the point. Some people just prefer to hate this game (both Online and SinglePlayer modes) simply because "itS wOrSe thAN gTA 4!" or something like that.

I like both GTA 4 and 5, i just like 4 a bit more.

True fans won't be... this don't take away any details from GTA 4

@@whatever57010 yeah, but so many GTA IV fans feel the urge to constantly say how much better it is than GTA V, meanwhile fans of other GTAs almost never do that

true, for some reason people seem to think you either have to love GTA 5 OR GTA 4... there are stuff I liked more in GTA 4 and other stuff I like more in GTA 5 (for me there are even stuff GTA San Andreas did better then both)

Ah, I got the same concern here for years, even before I finally started to play GTA V by MYSELF, on my own gaming laptop. What's interesting tho is that I NEVER saw such stupid "battles" between GTA VC and GTA SA fans. Like for real (probably because most people keep hyping about GTA SA being ahead of its time and such).

Also more random events, props, vehicle variety and a larger amount of NPCs in story. Police also use other vehicles more commonly

fairly common in single player/storyline go between 21:00 to 3:00 and if they don't spawn circle the block and go back (try from different directions) I got them to spawn several times in one night

That's KINDA (kinda tho) realistic too, because let's be honest: You also wouldn't be happy, calm and satisfied if a random person you don't know just came next to you and is simply watching you... For more than 2 minutes... Speechless... And then you realize that it has much more weapons than just a pistol with silencer/suppressor... And it doesn't matter if that person black or white, and what gender that person is...

What? NPC interaction was pretty much non-existing in GTA 4.

​@@gabrielmartines3510 Exactly. It was super awkward how passive everyone was in IV. It made the city feel unreasonably open and tolerant, unbeffiting of it's "worst place in America" moniker and the post-9/11 paranoia the game world is set in.

No offense, but I don't know what GTA IV you're talking about, you can't interact with npcs in GTA IV, the only real interaction with the player is when you hit them, they get scared by your gun or you give money to a saxophonist, GTA V has better interaction with npcs and between npcs, no argument there, even Bully did it better than GTA IV.

​@@anotheryoutubeaccount5259Especially the police, if you point a gun at them they will only try to arrest you, when I know that in the United States they will open fire immediately. But even when you have 6 stars they are still very passive, you can easily escape from them on foot by simply turning around and running, SWAT and FBI are not going to shoot you, they will just run after you.

But the system requirements for that game (even minimal) will be greatly increased , meaning that only rich players can play both modes of that game, which is... Somewhat concerning actually

How exactly was handling a downgrade? because it's not like GTA 4 actually had a great handling to begin with.

The handling is better in GTA V, even Rockstar admitted that they made a mistake with the handling of GTA IV. As for the story, many seem to forget that GTA San Andreas, Vice City and the other GTAs in the 3D universe also have many plot errors, GTA IV is not perfect either, a large part of its story is unnecessary plots and missions.
