@@UnderwaterShadow “stolen …. Use as his?” How could it be stolen when for public use and he never gave credit to himself the one doing the research, and everyone knows that? He use his time and effort to translate those medical term in simple language so that we could understand and make good decisions for our health. Everything that you’ve learned since you were a child, from school from books and such must be stolen too right. The information he presented help and educate many simple people, including myself.
I truly dont think you realize how much lives you are saving, this is awesome. I thank you for taking your time to learn these things and then helping the people. 😊
If the Universe is alive with a brain, and it can help us, then why doesn't it? Why does it let the world continue in pain and suffering? I don't think your prayers will do anything. How about prayers to God instead? At least God has spoken to us, and has answered every question we could possibly have.
There have been more studies, some showing far worse 12:1 and even 21:1 conversion of beta-carotene to vitamin A. The conversion also varies drastically based on genetics (certain European genes heavily reduce it). Essentially, a decent portion of the population is incapable of ever converting enough. Without consumption of animal products, many will be deficient. Also, my own personal anecdote I eat primarily beef and eggs with butter, and I recently added cod liver to my diet for the omega-3(didn't trust rancid capsules). I didn't even realize it had SOO much vitamin A. Anyways, I noticed a week or so later that my morning and nighttime vision was significantly better. I guess dozens of eggs a week were still not enough for my needs. I'm curious why my diet wasn't enough.
Thank you for sharing. My eyesight is quite weak, especially my night vision. I eat lots of beef, pasture raised eggs, good butter, fry in tallow. I eat liver once a week. Very healthy. Maybe I should go back to taking 1/2 teaspoon of cod liver oil daily.
I had extremely oily skin and took accutane as a teenager. As if my hormones weren’t already raging, the accutane made me depressed and borderline suicidal. It was a total mind…f. To put it starkly. Combine that with recreational drug use, binge drinking, and anabolic steroids, and it is a wonder that I am a free man. Thank you doctor Berg for being a TRUE doctor and a disseminator of TRUTH in this corrupt world!
Accutane gave me herniated discs in my spine. It stiffened me up so bad I couldn’t walk, and almost a year later am still having neuropathy. My doctors gaslit me, even after I stopped, took steroids, got better and then took it again to see if I was the crazy one. It’s wild how that drug reacts in the body.
Apparently a problem with Vitamin A supplements is that even something like Cod Liver Oil supplements can have synthetic Vitamin A added to it. Makes it hard to find a good quality and healthy option.
@Helenegardener you have to take stupid ammounts for a long time for toxic effects. worry about vit a depleting your copper and causing aneamia instead.
I have been cutting up a small piece of banana each day and applying it to my skin for the last two weeks. The dark spots under my eyes are now about 50% lighter and the age spots are also about 50% lighter. I assume that the vitamin A in the banana is what is helping...
I had bad acne as a kid. I was on Accutane twice and it wrecked the oil glands in my eyes, giving me dry eyes. Seriously dont understand why Accutane is still on the market.
That’s why I personally take the natural food source supplement form of it from Standard Process called Cataplexy A. I take kelp for iodine and Cataplex A which helped stopped thyroid pain and sluggishness for me. Love Dr. Berg videos.
@@olgaj9267 No, watch the video again. You don't need to worry about overdosing on natural Beta-carotene compared to the synthetic Vitamin A supplement version.
I would be very interested to see if you could make more in-depth videos about the spleen. It seems to be something that is widely ignored in western medicine, because in Chinese medicine, it is one of the most important organs in the body.
Interesting. I recently started taking Vitamin A and it has done wonders for me. Cleared my brain fog and improved my skin psoriasis. I do happen to have a gall bladder chock full of stones so maybe that’s why i can’t get as much from food? I may switch to cod liver oil after seeing this.
@@frank0ate i was taking a brand that was a combo A and D and it was best. Unfortunately i threw away the bottle without jotting the brand. I was trying to use up what i had before realizing what worked best. Now i am taking A and D individually and both are the NOW brand. Still really good so far.
I highly recommend you don't take synthetic vitamin A for too long. I recently had a toxicity episode from a daily multivitamin and its miserable. And I'm still not fully over it. Be careful!
Vitamin A toxicity => calcium deficiency; if you don't absorb enough calcium and magnesium your bone will be (over)used. Not synthetic but artifical form is problematic I mean retinil-acetate it is a liver poision because of water solubality liver can't store too much because it will precipitates out. Intracranial pressure => calcium deficiency problem you can find as side effect of calcium channel blockers medicine (Japanese study). Polar bear story was cadmium poisoning in fact (liver of polar bear accumulates cadmium; water contains cadmium on that land) For every 30000 IU retinol you will need 1200mg calcium, 600mg magnesium (you won't beleive but dolomite is the best; or corall calcium is even more better) and min 3000 IU vitamin D book: The Calcium Factor (Bob Barefoot)
@@codniggh1139 retinyl-palmitate is ok, it is a natural form. But take care about zinc because both vitamin D and A increase zinc requirements; and they can delplete it
@@codniggh1139 I use zinc-gluconate form, it is working for me. Zinc-glycinate is said to be another good form or zinc-citrate is the third. Or you can eat oyster it is the best natural food source.
😂 Sipping my Healthy Keto Coffee quietly! I'm trying not to wake up the sugar-addicted hellraisers around me.. No Holiday Blues here!! ❤ Happy Friday, everyone!
I overdid it on vitamin A once from too much cod liver oil and a multivitamin that had retinol palmitate. I now always avoid the synthetic vitamin A like retinol acetate or retinol palmitate.
I'm watching this, just after I just cooked and ate liver for the first time a few hours ago. I avoided liver so long because of the fear of vitamin A toxicity. But after months of research, I found out it is safe to consume (I hope). If you just do it in very minimal amounts of just an ounce. I mean I've heard of the people who eat liver everyday and the people who eat a full pack of liver. I'm only looking to probably eat an ounce like 2-3 times a week and keep the rest in the freezer. But due to my damaged gut from sibo and autoimmune disorders. I know I'm lacking so much in vital nutrients and minerals. And all those symptoms I've been suffering with for a while, like the night vision, skin issues, peeling skin and more. Especially how my old diet was for many years prior, where I mainly ate garbage all day. Where I barely got any neccasary nutrients in my daily before.
Very easy to cook, just add onion, garlic, &a piece of ginger, tomato green or red chilli and salt to taste, don’t add water, cook for 15 minutes on low flame, then add little oil, and it’s ready to eat,
for real, I just find that I suffer from hypervitaminosis a, because of roacutane and I want to get more information on what to eat and what to avoid, I self diagnosed because my doctors say that's my analysis are good even if I have pain in the gall bladder and bones and I don't look exactly good.
@@vicentiuc9145 I heard that too much vitamin A causes vitamin D deficiency. Bone pain is a symptom of vitamin D deficiency... so it might help for you to take high doses of vitamin D3. It's best to take it with K2. It will be ideal if you can check your blood levels of vitamin D to guide you. Also you can get it from sun bathing for 20 minutes a day or tanning beds.
@@The_New_Abnormal_World_Order I didn't know that, but i feel on my body. I took for first time vit d with k2 and ox bile, berberine and I feel amazing, all my bones pain disappeared, now my vit d k12 finish and took just vit d and my bones pain reappears.. so probably you are right
Dr. Berg… Happy Thanksgiving. It is my best one in a few years because of working so diligently to get my health back under control because of your teaching. I had a thought ..I wonder what Dr. Berg’s Thanksgiving table looks like. You should do a video to show a typical Thanksgiving or Christmas feast in the Berg household. Just a thought…..or maybe that’s too stalker-ish🤔😃 All the best to you and if I remember correctly from a previous video you have a precious grandchild now so I hope the holidays are especially joyous for you all💝
I took Accutane to help me against acne 20 years ago. Besides from very dry skin and lips I had absolutely no side effects and after the treatment, my skin was finally free from acne. Today, I take Beta Carotene to help getting tan and to help with my eyesight. And so far, it works.
I have a gene variant which blocks the conversion of beta carotene to Vitamin A. I take it otherwise I would never get enough. I test and monitor my blood levels. I also have Hashimoto's. I vehemently object to the title of this video. It implies other people should not take it either.
@@darlenegera8866 My guess is yes, however the answer to any such question will be depends on the brand. For the weeks we don't eat real oily fish at home I will pop a fish-oil capsule of one type or another, we have a broad range including krill-oil and golden squid oil. Which is "better" I have no idea, some are diluted with other oils, I don't let perfect be the enemy of good variety.
I’m curious about the topical version now. Retin A. Is it bad to use??? My dermatologist says I can use it daily at night. Is the absorption going to affect me long term?
does taking cod liver oil to improve skin could impact future fertility in women? Do you need to overdose on the cod live oil to improve skin or do you need to take healthy daily dose?
Dr. John Campbell just did a video about correlation between Vitamin A deficiency and the new data on pneumonia related outbreak in China… wonder what dietary causes might be associated 🤔
Thank you Dr. Berg for the information provided. The only one that provides real information, not funded by big pharma. I have a question and I would be very grateful if you could answer me. If it is possible to have vitamin a toxicity due to accutane, can I consume foods rich in vitamin a such as eggs, meat, liver, cod liver oil? or maybe creams or serums with retinoid will affect me and the toxicity will be more serious?
For those of you who are inventors out there with a background in vitamin chemistry, could you please see if there is a way to develop a safer and more sophisticated version of Vitamin A? Surely, there is a way.
@Helenegardener To solve most Vitamin A deficiency related problems quite rapidly. Also, to have an alternative to the currently available forms of Vitamin A.
Dr. Berg, what about prenatal vitamins that contain vitamin A? And does synthetic vitamin E in supplements would aid preventing vitamin A toxicity? I realized I very rarely, if ever, eat those foods you mentioned as best source of vit A except eggs and that, also quite rarely
There is freeze dried form of real organ meat, such as beef liver, in capsule that can be taken as supplements. They are very effective as reported by many.
Hi Doctor Berg, could you make a video in favor of the alleged toxicity of vitamin A? Lately, a diet low in animal and vegetal retinol seems very popular to restore not only metabolic health. Thank you for what he does every day.
I took Accutane back in 2003 in high doses without the supervision of a doctor for six months aka. Black market. I remember that I bleed out of my nose everyday and permanently lost my sense of most of my smell. I developed as well a permanent bloat. No mater what i eat i will alwayshave have bloating and indigestion. I've been depressed for all those years as well. No one told me as a kid that sugar and dairy can cause acne. It was a simple fix.
Excellent question. This video (Dr. Berg's presentation) would have been significantly better if he had taken the time to explain that distinction. Also, perhaps why that distinction was important in the first place. These important details would have improved the video immensely. (Rather than just going with the assumption that "natural" is better than "synthetic". It is my understanding that that can actually vary, according to the vitamin under consideration. Though I do prefer food-based, when it's possible /do-able.) BTW, I take Innovix Labs' "3-in-1 Formula" softgels, which have: Vitamin K2 (both the MK-4 and MK-7, with amounts specified for each), Vitamin D3 (5,000 IU), and a reasonable amount of Vit. A in each pill (900 mcg, or 3,000 IU , from "Cod Liver Oil and Vitamin A Palmitate"). They're a high quality company, and I trust their supplements. I know it's very important to not over-take Vitamin A.
Dr berg please help I took accutane and I’m trying to find a way to take away the side effects and I’m assuming there has to be a way to detox all the excess vitamin A
Just to clarify, if you are eating dark leafy greens, you DO need to be concerned about toxicity, just not vitamin A toxicity. Many many toxins in your vegetables.
