Yes it makes me sad that there are so few opportunities to get in fights when free roaming besides just getting a wanted level

For me the combat is very disappointing. So far anyway. To be fair I haven't opened it up all the way. So far in my opinion Stellar blade combat is levels better than this. I hate saying that too because I'm a veteran of the Niho games and I love team ninja. I was looking forward to this game for years now and so far I guess I was just expecting more out of the combat.

@@RobK-rl6sn Keep playing it bro. In time you'll find out what a great game it is and how the combat is top quality. If the difficulty is too hard for you lower the difficulty.

Love this game, got platinum yesterday, but three things really kinda ruin the fun for me: ki bar, enemies hyper armor and camera going shit when you are against a wall. Do any of you know a fix about the camera? When a boss push me against a wall spamming 2.000 attacks i lose the visual and can't parry properly.

Hopefully you're okay with this but are you willing to share your character code? I love how you did it and I want to put my own spin on it since it gave me a really cool idea if not it's fine I understand. But all in all your videos have helped me a lot and your character looks badass.

You don’t adjust stances much to give yourself the best (ie blue) stance. Just trying to make the fights more interesting?

Tatsumi-ryu stance has the best parry in the game, even when it's disadvantaged. He also uses a Shinobi stance which is always "disadvantaged" but excels at punishing after a counterspark.

Honestly the "advantage" thing has never really been something i follow. You can go through the game just using the stances that you really like to have fun instead of adhering to that part.

Wow, you all understand the game much better than me. I was thinking that doing a Violent Gale or Flash makes no sense because chances are when you switch to the other weapon or stance you do not have a stance with advantage. I’m constantly fumbling to get my stance right in every fight. I have not yet unlocked the Shinobi stance but maybe I should just use it and forget about the stances.

If you hold the analog stick while you have blood on the weapon your character now does a cleaning animation u just need to hold R1 and R3

How do you know how many waves of enemies are remaining to spawn in though? There's no counter that I saw to indicate. The waves just seem endless. I thought it was never going to finish until I saw "Mission Complete". Would have been good if there was a counter IMO. At least you would know how many more was left. Question. What happens if you die during the battle/mission? Do you get to keep the rewards you get while fighting? And BTW, I think Odachis are the best. More powerful so damages faster, and they're pretty fast too from my experience.

Unlike Nioh 2, this game has a lot fewer mechanics, but the reward is that wielding a katana here is extremely satisfying.

The combat is what keeps the game alive. And its so addictive its insane. The game is not boring neither because there is always something to fight on open world or quests too. Pray for another game similar to this

Combat is based on Nioh and Nioh2. I have alot of hours in them. And still I only mastered a view weapons. Maybe you wanna give a try....

Genkei Ryu is the name of the stance; Shadow double is the name of the move. you have to spare Li (Red Demon) then in ch 3 after you get back to Edo for the second time. There will be a mission from the Blue Demon called the watchman. Make the blue demon your ally then go to a dojo and train against him. To further build your bond he is located in the iga ninja dojo in the roof. You can easily access by running to the left side of the dojo towards the back gate. Grapple up then grapple swing to the roof. Go through the hole, he right there. (If you killed Li(Red demon) you gotta go back through testament of soul and spare him.
