Honestly, I could careless whether it is a V8 or 4 cylinder. The fact that this engine is hand built by specialized Mercedes technicians makes this a true AMG in my opinion. It’s not the V8’s that makes AMG, it’s their craftsmanship and attention to detail is what makes them some of the best engines on the planet
@@TheSoonToBeTrucker do you have a Mercedes??? Because you shouldn’t be shaming someone else’s car especially if you’re driving junk like a old Honda or a Fiat😂😂
Great review bro, but the car does not have turbo lag. When doing a launch, you have to build the boost then you'll launch proper. The car also has a Race mode which is the most aggressive settings, not Sport+
@@theday2learn I have literally just driven 5 hours in mine. Longest drive ever! Got out feeling just fine (I am 50) You just need to play with ALL the seat settings - on the door then really fine tune on the side of the seat
@@driftyggs2609 Here in Australia @ MB dealer average $1200 per year for first 5 years. Obviously big difference between service A & service B - but that’s averaged out. Plus tyres / brakes. Non dealer - trusted Euro specialist- $800 or less if you can access parts buying @ wholesale - like we do here through AMG club. Overall - bang for buck - AMAZING!! I worked for MB for a few years & have been lucky enough to drive literally everything Now that I had the $$ CLA my first choice C63 very close 2nd - mainly due to ongoing service / rego / insurance costs
I am shocked they removed the sharp body line under the door handles like on the 2019 model. It went from being aggressive looking to way more conservative looking . Both look good but the 2019 Gen looks way harder from the side and its not even close. What blows my mind is most on youtube like the new side view better. How is that? It looks so boring now. Sharp lines screamed AMG. Now from the side it does not look like an AMG. SMH.
He didn't do a race start. There is a race start procedure that will enable the car to rev out at maximum, build boost and then launch as you disengage the breaks. The fact the it built speed from his pull off, shows that he used normal driving mode which assumes you aren't trying to drag.
You didn't mention anything about the handling characteristics of this car?? What's your thoughts on that. I think engine is good but fir a car this expensive it better have a damn good handling chassis
Its feels like most newer cars today. I wil admit that I didn't have enough time with it to really feel out the handling but the thing that stood out at me specifically is that steering feel. Typically it feels very artificial, but in this car it felt more natural.
you have platic on doors donwside, cla 45s 0-60 mph 3.7, 3.8 seconds, in Germany this car without options 64 000 euros (euro is a little bit stronger than american dollar) and with options (full loaded) worth about 95 000 euros.
The A45s version sold in Europe and Australia where I'm from, actually has the most powerful 2.0L engine in production with 415 hp and 369 ft-lbs of torque. Strange you guys don't have that version.
And its a shame you guys get a deformed shape car with those humps in the rear. Understand they are bumpers which are mandatory in some states. Sure as hell makes the back looks ugly af.
