I owned an F87 and now own a G87. The G87 is better even stock and now I actually like the esthetics better. The extra weight is a benefit IMO as the car is more planted than the previous gen.
Looks, sounds and (I'll take your word for it) drives much better. However, paying that much for a car that you then need to spend soooo much more on just to get it where it should have been to begin with is a tough pill to swallow.
That’s my issue. I bought a used 2022 m240i w/ 13,000 miles recently. The M2 is a better car but would cost another $20-25,000 include taxes and then the mods I’d want would add another $5,000 plus over the M240i. Wish it was 10-15,000 more all in
To be honest, the only "essential" mod for a G8X platform in my view is monoball front-arm bushings to fix the numb steering. These can be had for around £500+ (installation cost not included). The "CS/CSL" software code for the gearbox, suspension etc. is also great, but not essential IMO.
@@drjk7565 I didn't drive it but I also think it's a superb car. I owned a F87 M2 - it's a fun car and sounds extremely good. That's a fat minus point for me - G87.
Remeber what this guy says how he hated on the looks. When the next gen m2 comes out he will be saying how amazing this gen is and its the last true m2.
i cant understand as well why you guys have only 33k subs, you have great content. RS no way is better looking. f8x series are better looking outside, but not inside.
Love that rear wing, just placed my order yesterday for the wing and magnetic shift paddles for my F87 M2c, didn't know about the discount code, maybe next time.
So … spend a fortune buying it and then more cash to fix it? And… No DCT. At the limit you feel it. You also feel the weight when pushing it around corners.. it’s a no for me. Save yourself the pain and a load of cash … buy a low mileage prev gen.
Facts. Too expensive, too ugly, too heavy. That’s an immediate strike 3 for me. Previous gen is so much nicer looking. Does it perform like an S58? No. But the Competition has the S55, which is a great engine. And it will put a smile on my face so much more in stock form, looking back at it when I park it.
@JacesOwnWorld the S58 blows the S55 right out of the water though (easy 600+ on pump gas tuned)...I just ordered a 2025 in portimao blue with silver wheels. Fugly lines? Yes but it's a better car overall by far (esp interior) and lap times don't lie
Still ugly as f! You shouldn’t have to spend silly money on mods to convince yourself it’s a looker. BMW messed up on the looks department on this car, in fact all of the new M cars. Performance might be great but you still need that wow when you look at it
