Could you talk about the technique of the counter attack? My punch volleys sometimes just don’t have enough power to be punishing. I think it’s bc my paddle stays fairly flat while yours has a little wrist snap on it?

Hi, Zane I have a question about your paddle. Most paddles on the market have an emphasis at being really good at something. For example, some focus on power for strong drives. I've noticed that your paddle has a pretty low swing weight. Was it your plan (emphasis) to create a paddle that was really fast at the kitchen line? So, to beat a banger you bang back? Not sure I understand the point of this segment. I dink a banger and then beat them when they make a mistake or let them bang into the net after I dink. Is that counter attack?
As a former banger, let me explain. The only two ways to deter someone from banging is to let the ball go out or punish them. When you punish them, you’re not banging, you’re attacking a bad ball. Generally a banger will be attacking from below the net, with drives or speed ups. Meaning they are hitting up on the ball, giving you the opportunity to hit down on the ball and at their feet. If you’re playing an actual banger, you’re dinking wint work unless you couple it with a counter attack. If you dink the ball to me, what’s stopping me from hitting a forehand speed up right at you? Nothing except the fear that you will return it with interest or let it go out.
Yes but what if opponents are also great with fire fight? He has fast hands? Well, I try not to 'give him that chance to begin with',.. How? Well most bangers are 90% using forehand drives, so in my instance, you have 4 choices. 1) Get better to counter ( like this video says) 2) DON'T give him opportunities, don't hit to his forehand 3) Play the weaker partner? 4) Test he's Volleys with lobs? Bangers love waist high shot COMING directly at them, not high volley balls dropping faster and screwing up their timing. Try that??
