Love the quick actions! I had vacations of 1000 photos sitting in my library unsung and unshared. Quick actions got them processed in an evening. They look great. I wish you could bulk edit with quick actions...perhaps in the future.
Really nice if that quick action option would come to iPad version of Lr. But guessing if Point Color still cannot make it to iOS versions, probably not going to get quick action on iPad any time soon. Still have no way to do a batch edit for GPS or keywords on iOS like you can with the desktop, must be a super complex function to do on iOS, clearly I am asking a lot from Adobe to keep all versions of Lr equal. Not to take away from yet another great video that informs and educates. Just getting old how Adobe handles their products.
Something extra here, which is probably not for everyone. From LR web you can link you Google Photos account and send photos directly to GP. I don't do much social media stuff, but our family group do share photos on GP, so this is a nice workflow for me.
Great video, very informative. Would love to see a video on how best to use an iPAD for photo editing. For example what would a 2024 iPad Air offer that I can’t do on an iPhone? What do I still need a desktop for? Thanks
I used to think Lightroom Web was a bit of a gimmick. It really has matured and allows you to take lightroom anywhere on any operating system. I could even use it on a Raspberry Pi. I hope Adobe continue to develop this platform. If they had some more library function, that would be really cool.
great and clear video!!! I wish they would allow users to apply a preset to JUST a specific masked area rather than apply it to the whole photo. This comes part of the way but I have far more presets than just those options, and of course, with a mask, you are editing a specific are YOU want to edit and not what it detects.
Very helpful video. I used the quick actions a couple times on the phone and like it but didn't understand I can Add to auto with the other options Lr shows there. I also missed that it was in the web version. Now to to go experiment. I'm hoping that Adobe adds some other connected accounts options to the content thing.. By the way, nice shirt. congratulations. - tim
Another great video Brian. How about a video on how to add borders using, Lightroom Desktop in conjunction with Photoshop. Or some other easy way to do that on cropped image not using classic or the IOS mobile app. I know there are a few ways but have not found a easy workflow yet. Shame Lightroom does not have that function yet and I love a square photo with a border!
Brian, why does LR for iPad seem so far behind LR mobile and web? I wish it had the same functionality as I am trying to lighten my mobile editing kit by traveling with just my iPad, leaving my laptop home. Any sense as to why Adobe has seemed to have de-emphasized the LR for iPad product and if this will change in the future? Your videos keep me wishing for more. Thanks
Out of curiosity, how is Lr for iPad so far behind LR for iPhone (aside from Quick Actions)? Which features are you missing from iPhone? Of course, comparing it to Lr Web isn't exactly apples-to-apples, but I'm also curious about Web features that you'd like to see.
This is exactly my thoughts too, I feel the LR for ipad has been left hanging which is sad since it's getting more and more my preferred editing device.
So I installed “Lightroom Photo Editor”, which sits beside LR for iPad, to my iPad Pro 11”. So it installed V10 and not replacing V9. So I assume this is an iPhone version as it’s portrait mode only and using only part of my iPad screen - so a non starter for me. Will there be a true iPad version?
Curious if Lightroom on the iPad or iPhone is ever going to see AI denoise? Seems odd to me, the iPad Mini 6 I've got has an M2-equivalent architecture, a new iPhone 16 Pro Max has an M4 equivalent chipset, and of course you can get iPad Pro's with the M4. And yet none of them can do denoise, but my Macbook with an M1 can? Seems like some artificial product segmentation to me for some reason.
First, definitely ensure that you have the latest version (v10.0.1) installed. You may also have to enable it in the app settings first. Otherwise, your phone may not be supported. What model iPhone are you using?
That's correct. Quick Actions is only available in Lightroom Mobile (iPhone and Android) and Web. It's not currently available in Desktop or iPad. I meant to bring that up in the video and totally spaced on it. I'll add it to the video description now - thank you for the reminder!
I explain in the video description that Quick Actions is currently available in Lightroom Mobile for iPhone and Android, as well as in Lightroom Web. Did you read that?
@@brianmatiash I most certainly did read that but iPad version is different than iPhone version. I have followed all your videos of the iPad version in the past and assumed you might know why Adobe has not made any changes to it. I have checked and I seem to have the latest iPad version and it is the same as it’s been for many months.
I have iPad Pro M1 and I have Lightroom on it I can’t see this new icon that I see in your video and I have an account for Lightroom on my Mac also Any advice ? Thanks
