Including the Vernons Girls, the Wildcats, Dave Edmunds, Justin Hayward, Mickie Most and many other artists as well as the whole Wilde family (Kim, Ricky, little Roxanne and Marty Jr, Joyce etc.)
19.47 minutes in Billy fury/ Ronnie Wycherley comes in, he died a month later I think he was not eating, he was in pain, he had a heart operation and he could feel the pain, what a lovely person
This was so very wonderful to watch. Marty Wilde & his lovely family seem like such warm & genuine people, that I found the entire sequence so very heartfelt. I only knew of Marty Wilde because of Justin Hayward & his association with Mr. Wilde, and I can see how Marty’s influence have contributed to the success of Justin & the Moody Blues., and watching this video everyone can see how Marty Wilde has also so generously helped so many others. Thanks so much for sharing this beautiful video with us all. And many blessings to Marty Wilde & his family for making this world a better place. Thank you. 🙏💗🦋🌹🎼
Marty said in later years that despite seeing Billy quite often over the years, he was shocked when Billy came out and he knew something was terribly wrong. RIP Billy.
As a Marty Wilde fan it's great to see this again. So nice to see Phil Woodward, as he was one of my teachers at All Saints' Primary School and he gave me my debut in goal for the school team.
Look him up on Wikipedia. He has an extensive history as a rock and pop personality going as far back as 1957. Also recently released a fantastic album consisting entirely of originals called "Running Together" - the song "60's World" with Kim is one of his best ever numbers.
@@HTprodsDW Doesn't matter when it was, same could be the same for bloody Elvis. lol But know him due to Radio, Mags/Papers, TV programmes/ documentaries, Books, write -ups when in UK we had Ceefax/Teletext, through hi daughter Kim. etc etc So is irrelevant when it was!
this so reminds me of my family born 1960 lived in a prefab nw10 london brother had a skiffle band , eventually got a gigster red glitter drum kit , and at six years old id jump in the bands CA bedford van with column gear change, i got my first ringo starr snare drum with ringo face on the batter side, my sister jane sadly stuck her foot through the skin , i would follow my brothers band they would find some where for me to sit amongst the amps in the back , The family then moved to stevenage 1969 every pub every wedding had a live band , live music was buzzing in those days then my brother bought an Ajax kit , Any way iam so pleased it paid off for you wildes, music is a Bug its hard to put it down , im so pleased you saw it through the hard times, and now due to nostalgia people want to go backwards to the past for obvious reasons , to a time when the world was a happier place , and real talent was needed to get on , so pleased youve had a supportive wife and family , and music has bounced off to other family members , you can all enjoy the fruits of your hard work and dedication, it was a lovely video you come across as a very down to earth family thats lived a life, lets face it the music business can make you poor financially but enrich you in other ways, years ago you could buy a house with the royalties now your lucky if you can afford a pair of levis jeans , life has changed dramatically for everyone including us musicians , oh well i didnt mean to write a book but again thanks enjoyed This is your life , funny enough i was saying to a friend yesterday we would sit there and the highlight was watching the golden shot how life has changed Take care
It's great to see these old shows and everybody looking so young - so many will have passed away as this episode is now nearly 40 years old. Would love to see 'Oh Boy' for the first time ever. When I wrote to TV companies in the 80s channel 4 (I think it was them) told me they had the rights to show it - but it never appeared. Roxanne is now as beautiful as Kim.
RU-vid algorithm jad worked its magic and I've just watched his anf Kim's appearance on This Morning. Still performing, still wearing the dark glasses a few days from his 85th birthday. Wonderful. Clliff, Mick, Paul, Marty. All octogenarians. Must be the need to perform music which keeps them young. Rock on.
The ending was very touching. I didn't know that Marty and Joyce had tried to have more children after the two they had, but they are definitely miracles.
Marty and Joyce have 4 children, Kim, Ricky, Roxann and Marty Jnr. (born 1983) they are a great family and Ive seesn Marty perform many times. He is singing better than ever and now in his 80's and touring as I write! " Silvo" ru-vid.com/show-UCIS0BoBIRGEHgn19eYuoOag
I have sat in the front row under Mr Wilde, more than once with my late mother. I am sad I will never get to see Mr Whitcherly live(Billy Fury). My late mother saw Billy, & Cilla Black(Aunty Priscilla from Scotland Road)live in Birmingham. You older people did hear quality music first hand, LIVE, apart from Auntie Shirley Veronica of Bute Street, Tiger Bay, we have had rubbish.
Didn’t know that much about this man, born Reginald Leonard Smith aged 80, recognised some of those tracks, and been active since 1957, related to The Wildcats.
Mine too Sandria! In about ‘58 me and my best friend got buses from Croydon to his house in Greenwich one winter’s evening, hoping he might fall in love with one of us……we were 13! His sweet mum came to the door and told us he wasn’t home but gave us autographed photos. I treasured it for years!
HI, I am scouting around youtube, asking if anyone has a complete, good quality copy of Norman Wisdom This Is Your Life. I think it dates back to the late 80's, with Eamonn Andrews. Can you help atall, please? There are versions on youtube, but with bits missing and ragged sound. Thanks.
TheWacoKid1963 Billy Fury was my first true love ❤️. I wanted to marry him & look after him . He looked very weak & ill in this video . R.I.P Billy xx🎤❤️❤️
Marty is looking uncomfortable and nervous when tarbuck comes on and looks at his head, he's thinking " he's going to make a joke about my wig" then Joe Brown comes on and keeps looking at his hair, and he's thinking " I just know Joe is going to come out with... where did you get that syrup from" but he didn't
Marty Wild is a big name in British rock 'n' roll , yes there s British rock 'n' roll, as in many countries. Big star in France is Dick Rivers et les Chats Sauvage who took his name from Marty's Wild group.
Obviously, Billy Bronco doesn't have the ability to listen to talented people expressing themselves. Also, it could be that Billy Bronco just likes to look at middle-aged mens hair 🧑"Nothing" wrong with that 😄
