"Connors investigations doing it better than L.A Noire -Rockstar will remember that" nice video i just found out your channel really good job btw during your entire video you only mentioned heavy rain but never beyond 2 souls that was probably better to talk about if you wanted to analyse the evolution of quantic dreams. ( Spoiler Time more or less)But i feel like Kara's story was really mono-choiced compared to the 2 others since the choices are pretty much be nice to little girl or don't care about little girl but you are still in the same position at the end you can see that with "unique chapters" where connors one is if he's deviant or not/ marcus if he's been peacefull or not/ but Kara is a quick choice with "play dead" if you know what i mean because i don't want to spoil x) but yeah great review
I never played Beyond Two Souls, it never appealed to me, I should have gotten it when it was free for ps plus a couple months ago, so you're right I don't have perspective on how much of an improvement Detroit is from that. I agree about Kara's storyline being more limited than Connor and Marcus' (actually in the vid when I said I accidentally killed one of the main characters - it was Kara). What Kara's storyline did execute well was giving androids elements of humanity. The mother-daughter dynamic gave rise to the idea that androids could emote and feel, and while the other two exhibit them as well, Kara and Alice are the most "human" to me. Thanks for the interesting comment!
I think Kara doesn't feel connected to the two others, her point of view only reflects the actions of Marcus whereas Connor is pressured more and more by Amanda because of Marcus's actions making him possibly is nemesis or his friend, when you think about it Kara only see's Marcus and Connor for only one chapter and only to ask a favor she then just goes her way, You mentioned that the game makes you feel humanity between machines and humans with her point of view it's because it obliges you to be that way if you don't become deviant at the start of the game all her missions are passed and she's never seen again and strangely enough him not missing anything I think her role could have made more impact in the overall story and that twist could have been better presented at least, I just didn't care about the girl being this or that it feels more forced than anything else and doesn't change anything :l
Being Marcus was so boring Connor was the best but I got put down because I can never solve all the crimes so they shut me down. But I found this game pretty fun however
I think that's what makes the game so good, some people will react differently to the story and the game allows you to choose what happens as a result of your view on things
