This is probably the best drill I've ever seen for explaining the hip hinge. I'm surprised I've never seen this one before. This is something all of the kettlebell organizations should be using and teaching!

Just injured my back last week doing 2 handed swings. I have been using this technique but the very last swing and I didn't and my back is now f**ked!! Keep the technique through the whole routine is my problem :-)

I use this when teaching patients how to hip hinge and I add a resistance band when they have gotten past "stage1" or are so damn strong

Great drill!! Very useful! I think it'll help immensely with back issues... Just a quick question/clarification: In this stance/position, are the toes flexed, i.e. am I sitting on my toes, or on the dorsum of the feet? I ask as that'll change the distance one needs to bend to touch the heels... Thanks again for this cool drill, Joe!!

The drill is fantastic. I train with 24kg on ladder sets 20-24 down to 2 is it about time I bought new set of kettle bells and what weight 28 or 32

I like the drill but I don’t have the flexibility/mobility to completely do it-which could be another issue all on its own
