I agree on not dropping them. If you drop your KB you either did one too many reps or it was too heavy. If you have a floor you don't want to damage use a folded towel.

Very interesting & useful video for novices/beginners! I remember I struggled for almost 4-6 months trying to find trusty, reliable, useful & scientific resources for KB training when I started out not so long ago...I had to unlearn a few incorrect movement patterns in the process...Even sustained a few (not debilitating) injuries...but that's part of the process, I guess... Though, I did wonder (& still do) how come the KB community doesn't do this more often (tutorial/instruction/how-to videos reg. various exercises/movements) or as much as the barbell/dumb bell community does... But your channel (& a few others) really helped me out develop a home programme which suited my needs, resources & goals...and all this during the pandemic! Thanks, Joe!

❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤ You had nuggets in this video ....you gave me a tip for my Samsung fitness watch turn it on the inside of your wrist no I can record my work outs with it and get more data...genius. I agree on the shoes...bare feet or Timbaland is what I use. I like working out in my basement, love to workout in the grass at the park, tack, or my front yard. I love the overhead press swings squats deadlifts figure 8s curls chest press etc...still gotta master windmill get up some cleans snatches..you even put me one the park swing and others...baby steps...it's really a versatile piece of equipment.. I have an Olympic bar I want to use again I'm using my KB training to get me conditioned again to do my bar squats and deadlifts...don't worry I'm not going crazy on the bar I got some 25lb plates and two 45lbs plates and a few smaller ones without a squat rack I wouldn't risk my safety usually start off with just the bar. But the bar was my first love ..you feel strong and like you can do anything I feel like that with KB training too...would like to get back to my dealifts and squats in addition to my KB training..consistency is key...I really did't know shit about Lats or hip thrust/mobility..until kettle bell training. It doesn't take alot for me to chisel out my body with just my 15lbs kettle bell ...it's diet and consistency...working out with a KB will have you like I didn't know my shoulders and back arms could look so sexy. The KB can and will remove bra fat I've tested it and it's approved..... you give me reminders to keep going further and keep working at it rain or shine. Life happens but your fitness is part of life you cant ignore. I still have body goals but I know I have to be more consistent like I was in the first quarter of the year. Thanks for giving us daily encouragement and tips.

Don't underestimate the usefulness of door mats... Super cheap and not slippery, on both sides of the mats. One for the bell and two for the feets, to start with.

I began in 2020 when it became clear that gyms + immune deficiency = tough time. If I could go back in time and give myself one piece of advice it would be to de-prioritize reps/time in favor of technique. I mean.. even now.. I still spend time each training day drilling technique with the pink kettlebells before working up to 32 kg on some days.

Ligaments need time to adjust to ballistic movements. So going lighter in the beginning is wise. Being able to adjust weights incrementally is very beneficial. Starting out I would highly recommend adjustable kettlebells. Both kettlebell kings and titan fitness sell competition style adjustable bells. The initial cash outlay may be higher than just buying one bell. But it is more cost effective in the long run. Plus you can make smaller weight jumps to aid in your progression. The two I mentioned can adjust from 12 to 32kg. If you are serious about getting into kb training these are a great investment.

Great video! I have a question on your Beginners Free Kb program. I’m just wondering if there’s any progressive overload I should be doing over the few weeks such as adding reps/sets/tempo/weight. It’s also somewhat of a general question in kettlebell training that I’ve never been able to find a clear answer to. Thanks for the great content and programs 👊👊👊

It can be exactly the same as you do with dumbbells etc. I don't force things. I train and when I feel like I need heavier weights without sacrificing form I use them

Nice video! Can I ask you how to progress with the training program? If I do 100 swing on day 1, how can I progress without changing the weight? Thanks

i would do many other exercises, but you could do 1 arm swings, alternating swings, more reps in each set. basically 100 reps in less sets, shorter rest periods, swing to different heights. etc

I did a mistake because my ego says I can do 40lbs, now I'm thinking should I send it back or have it around until my strength is near or its best to get the one I should use like 15lbs or 20 lbs?
