You should look into using sound to make a blade vibrate rather than mechanical vibration. My theory is you want the smallest vibration you can get but at the highest speed you can get. I think using sound might get you a very fast but very small distance the blade vibrates back and forth. And it would be adjustable because you can tune the wavelength of sound. It just makes sense because sound is just vibration. Also I have worked carpentry most my life and the biggest problem with those jam saws is that the vibration will literally make your hands numb after just a few minutes. So the biggest issue with a vibroblade is isolating the vibration to the blade while shielding the handle from the vibration so it doesn't effect your ability to control it. It does take some practice and skill to make a straight cut with those jam saws. And after using one all day your hands will ache.
