I bought this huge locker at the storage auction, and it's been an absolute gold mine, and we've only spent 1 day digging in it! Now that I've moved 2 trailer loads of boxes and clothes to my personal locker, I start to unbox and see what's hidden inside. WOW... unbelievable that I'm hitting high dollar designer goods again. This lady must have been rich!

Find someone with a free little library in your area. They may want the books and you can “dump” them for free and they do the work. They decide what they want and dont want.

Nice to see the storage unit game has not changed since I was doing it back in 1986 and 1987. Your magic bean pot was a pen and pencil holder for what you had called fake flowers.

Amazing items in this locker Jack. Boy did you really score again with this locker. Definitely makes up for the dusty one, though you did find a few great things in it, but nothing like this one and the Judith Ripka one. Unbelievable how rich some people are!

She was either living WAY above her means, or she had a significant other who picked up the tab. There is NO WAY she afforded these big ticket items on a call center operator's salary. I was a call center operator for years. It's not a highly paid job. Unless her job was something a bit more - ah - private.

Is this the same woman that's in prison? And the same locker that had that punch/tag tool? Because when I was watching that, my first thought was actually that she stole a lot of stuff. Pro store thieves have the tools to remove the alarm tags. Just a thought.

Having lockers is not very common here in Argentina, so watching these videos is surprising. I'd like to ask u what happens with the owners of this stuff? Are they dead? They don't care? Did they go bankrupt? Can't they afford the payment of the lockers? I see some private things, photos.... what happens with their families? Sorry for my questions but this is new to me

Acá una compatriota q estaba pensando lo mismo... Para mí, es gente q murió y al vaciarle las casas, meten todo ahí y bue' nadie fue a buscar nada... No sé... Acá para mucho con casas... No sé de qué parte sos, pero acá se hacen ventas los fines de semana de "casa abierta" el dueño muere, queda todo adentro y una agencia se encarga d vender todo... Es medio triste la verdad

All of the things you mentioned can cause a sale. The private things are returned to the management of the locker company by the person who buys the locker (like Jack in this video). They try to contact the previous owner if they can. The previous owner can come pick up all their personal items for free. When the previous owner dies, sometimes the closest relatives live a long distance away (remember how big the United States is!) and can’t take the time away from home to clean out the locker, or afford to ship the items all the way back to where they live. Or, like that locker full of junk Jack is cleaning out, they just believe there isn’t enough things of value left in the locker to make it worth their effort to clean it out. Sadly, a number of them don’t have any close relatives to care about the items - no children or close nieces or nephews. So no-one is left to deal with the locker. Payments stop being made on it and the contents are sold.

That flower dish from Pottery Barn would have been great under a candle. I liked it. Most of the nicknacks weren't so nice. But cheap items attract more customers who will then look at the more expensive items. Sort of a sale tease.

Just an FYI the pot with the beans is supposed to go with the fake flowers which are pen to rewrite with to make it look like a flower pot when not using them.

Trust me, she did more than work at a call center. I worked at one and they pay as little as possible. No one makes that kind of money. It may have been a different kind of "call" center, if you know what I mean.

Those high end clothes should not be out in the sun. They'll fade where the sun hits them, and can lose their value. For your sake, Jack, I hope that doesn't happen.

I agree! There is no way a wealthy woman would actually throw all that in a storage locker and forget about it... unless she died. Think she may have been spending someone else's money.
