Does this letter prove old rumors that Marilyn Monroe was romantically involved with a Kennedy? It was written to Monroe by Jean Kennedy Smith, the sister of New York Senator Robert F. Kennedy. It states: "Understand that you and Bobby are the new item! We all think you should come with him when he comes back East." While vague, it could fuel speculation that the two had a relationship after they were reportedly seen together at various events in the early 60's. #InsideEdition

"Inside Edition" must have been having problems with finding new stories when they put this out. Anthony Summers wrote extensively about this very letter, in his best selling book ("Goddess") which was first published in 1985.

It must of been his 44th birthday because he was elected in 1960 and his 40th was on may 29th 1957 and he wasn’t the president then. And Marilyn died in 1962 so 1961 would be my guess so 44th birthday get your facts right inside edition
