Imo even in a no skip run, it would be fair to skip the level. Because it's literally impossible. Tbh should be an option to report the level and player and get them banned. Don't make stuff like that.

(code doesn't work, I was going to view it myself and see the password and any other hidden garbage) I went onto the Super Expert Leaderboards to find this person's maker id, and I did. They have no courses uploaded since this video was uploaded. They took it down before I was able to expose what kind of crap was in that sub world. There could've been a star for the boss and another hidden star for the line ups. Although those line ups aren't too hard if you have 2 damage boosts like Ryu did, it's doubtful they played their own level legit. This SMM2 Viewer allows you to input a level code and then view the main and sub world as if you had SMM2 editor but with pictures to explore.

Looks like the password was likely in the level. If you watch the beginning, you see him pass several groups of coins that are in fairly distinct shapes. Likely, if you count the number of coins in those groups, they would coincide with the password. I think that there are enough people who would put a password in a level with no hints that it's necessary to note in your comments if the password is in the level.

@@Selrisitai 110% doubt. Level was meant to be impossible. The main world was just an illusion. Sub world turned into a high-skill & high-luck gauntlet. Then a password thrown at the end to make sure even those that could’ve passed it, won’t it. Something like that is meant to throw shame against any player who plays his level. Hints? You believe that after he throws multiple pixel-perfect jumps? It’s not a standard power-up check though having power-ups helps “cheese” that section. Probably had ultra-hidden dev power-ups to make his run bearable. No reason dev has to suffer if he’s the only one that can beat it regardless.

When a creator has asshole ideas, generally its because they have no skill and just want to watch the world burn. A player that good wouldn't torture someone with an unbeatable password after a 10/10 difficulty level

Can he add a warning sticker for the next players? Or can this be disabled, or one needs to clear the level first?

Or an even better system: Let players see the levels in the editor at all time.

Id like to hear a good reason why they took downloading levels away at all. I cant think of a fair and fun level that could possibly be ruined by downloading it.

Pretty sure it was more than 99 possible combinations you would need to try, and this is assuming you reached the level with 99 lives and one-shot the boss, and the pixel perfect Spike jumps. Insane)

Hi I’m the creator of the stars level (not joking) and you guessed right there was a shell in those 3 blocks I originally wanted to put 1 ups but I realized 1 ups are replaced with poison mushrooms to I decided to add power ups I put a cape a Yoshi and a shellmet but then I was wondering if someone would kill themselves with a the shellmet I gave them so I added in the description please don’t kill yourself with the shell just in case someone is stupid enough to kill themselves with the shell

How bout this: RNG section that has something "realistic" like a 1/1024 chance to be beatable, then just use TAS to constantly beat the prior sections as fast as possible and restart if it fails the RNG section. Leave it running overnight and eventually one of the runs will be completed and you can upload it

The only reason no one really beat the level of because it took Ryu like 30 min just to do no damage boss fight and the ocean perfect section. Nobody is going to know that it is passcode till they hit all of them

The dev has multiple medals including two golds (top 100 in a worldwide leaerboard if you didn't know) and a silver (top 200) so they most likely have the skill to beat the first part, and combination locks don't require any skill if you know the password. Then there's the two minute clear check time, most likely legit

@@festry_ With squirrel powerup the dev can literally hide dev star in some absurd location in the main world easily w.o notice. As for clear time it doesn't mean much cuz the dev can afk at goal for couple mins to make the clear time seems legit. For a dev that develop a stage with a pass code after a tough boss fight + insane pixal perfect multiple jumps, I do not believe he has good intention to play fair.

I’m the creator of the star level (not joking) and it is very clever I found this technique out because there was one of those levels with a million poison mushrooms and a star I realized they actually run away from you so I made a hole level out of this tech and don’t touch the stars was born 11/27/2021

You have to hug the wall and then roll the joystick 3/4 a rotation to the opposite direction until you are ducking. It works around 1/2 times

I’m the creator of the star level (not joking) and that is correct poison mushrooms run away from you when you get a star it will hit the note block dropping a muncher onto the bomb and the bomb will explode the on/off switch and will activate it causing you to fall to your doom

More likely someone used that database to beat the level, the level creator saw someone beat their level they didn't want anyone to beat (for some reason), then deleted their level.

Yeah the password could be pretty complicated. But it could also be simple if the creator was lazy, like you just need to hit only the left block and wait for something to fall down. It would be funny if it was a very simple password like that but Ryu just hit too many random things without waiting xD
