Very well documented ... But one thing I need to mend .. Its back door is automatically locked when the the screen is raised to close, you dont need it to lock it manually . Rest assured, its best machine I have ever seen ... Am loving it ... Agree 200% that it loses the drive leisure when raised 2 inches or more .
Cool video! I have a 91' 4Runner and me and the wife sleep in it during summer trips. I am almost 6.1 and what I do is remove the back lower part of the seats. Its only 4 bolts and you gain a lot of extra lenght, thus making a comfortable bed.
Greets from Western Australia. I've got a green-coloured second gen like this, best thing I've ever purchased. I've never had an irritation with the back window and drop-down tray. Mind, the spare tyre is not sitting on the back, rather it sits under the back of the car, accessed by dropping it down with a chain. I can see how it would be an irritation having to move that tyre on yours each time. 😄
My gen three looks almost identical with black bodywork and chrome bumpers and grill, it is called the SURF SSR-X V SELECTION edition. I think it was styled to look like your gen 2 with the black and chrome. Do you know anything else about the ssr-x v selection edition? There is not much information on them here in NZ. Love your work!
This compares with the Nissan Terrano that’s the r50 pathfinder in the states The Terrano also comes with a qd32 and td27 Diesel engine option with timing gear……
I’ve got a 1992 surf and it’s kinda old as but it’s kinda modified but it’s have difficulties on the highway especially little hill any ideas?? I was thinking putting more power on to it
I have a hilux with the same engine and similar drive train, I get 10.5l/100km which is about 22 ish mpg and I believe the towing capacity is around 1500kg or 3300 lbs here in australia braked. My hilux holds 66 litres, that surf should be similar.
