Doyle - Danny Strong has become quite the writer in Hollywood. He co-created Empire from Fox, he wrote the screenplays for The Butler (Forest Whitaker) and The last Hunger Games movies, he's won Emmys, a Peabody award and Golden Globes
"I dont like him yet but at least he has a personality" thank you! I feel like Logan gets a lot of hate for beeing rich and hes really not that bad of a character. Hes entertaining and he has a lot of qualities and I really dont get the hate. Im sorry but i don't.
@@GopherCakeStuff If I could care less, I care, however little. If you want to say you don't care at all (which is what people are trying to say), then you couldn't care less.
I mean... come on. Right? That is not the nature of an aspiring investigative journalist. Fly around different countries and cultures and not write about it?
@@NoudlePipW Yes! You'd think she'd be keeping a journal, at least for stuff like that. What about the experience of visiting the catacombs? It's not a big investigation, but there is certainly a type of writer who does this type of personal experience article and this is the time for her to experiment with different things.
@HuntingViolets Oh God I wrote that in my original comment but deleted it because I started rambling! You had an all expenses paid summer flying around but didn't write about *anything* !?! Berlin Wall, Auschwitz, Vatican City, Red Light District, Pamplona bull-run? But somehow managed to get a TRAIN to Ireland (where I'm from)... that's lazy. As a character and that train thing from the writers, just soooo weird.
@@NoudlePipW And, hey, Norman Mailer is getting interviewed in the dining room. Maybe I'll ask whether it would be okay to ask my aspiring journalist daughter to sit in if she can work it around classes. I'm still puzzled why Lorelai never introduced Rory to Rachel for a little mentoring.
Regardless of what's going on with Sookie being pregnant.. you can have a character on a show just have multiple kids. 😂 Also: Rory was indeed great this episode! She does things to annoy me every now and then but this episode definitely wasn't one of those!
Never understood the Rory hate. All the characters made dumb decisions and mistakes from time to time. IMO Rory was always genuine and trying to do the right the thing. She was never mean or hurtful to people intentionally and was also strong and stood up for herself. I really love Rory.
I think ppl really started hating Rory (including myself) because of what happens later on, without spoiling anything, the way she acted was not it!! And it is also true that Rory was always viewed as this perfect girl by everyone around her to the point that she started believing it and whenever she did stupid shit, she would kinda cover behind that image. That was annoying. Right now, she is not that bad aside from the whole Dean ordeal.
@@michelstephanygarces9431 I don’t think anything she did warranted the amount of hate she gets… and even so, people can say they dislike her in a season, not the whole series. All the characters had low moments, all of them!
I don't want to accidentally spoil things, but I definitely disagree with parts of what you're saying. Not Rory right now, but in my opinion, a lot of what you're saying absolutely doesn't apply to some stuff Rory does later. I don't take it out on her character now and I wish people hadn't even told him that people hate Rory at some point because now he thinks everything is the reason, lol. Regardless, there are multiple points later where she absolutely deserves it. And we can talk about them when they happen here. ❤
@@majeda_a did you not read what I said? I said you can dislike her in a particular season but to say she is an awful character the whole series is just insane. SPOILERS Her partner in the revival was a dumbass that wasn't picking up any hints that she had zero feelings for him. Logan was cheating as well, so why dont I ever see the amount of hate for Logan like I do with Rory? What Lor did with Chris was absolutely horrendous and awful to Luke and does she ever get blasted? No. People act like Lorelai is a saint.
probably just the battery power/you can use the car with the battery without having to have the engine running, but it would definitely drain the battery.
Probably not leaving the engine running. But you can have the lights on and radio on and stuff without the engine going. Your battery will still be draining though.
To be clear everybody who dislikes Rory doesn't start disliking her fully until about season six, it's not really until later in the show that she becomes a problem and you just haven't got there yet, I mean the thing with Dean was bad and there were a few other small things, but Rory doesn't start becoming a problem as a character until about season six when she does some bad stuff and has a massive falling out with Lorelai.
season 6 is so late in the series though and people have been bitching about rory from day 1. it's exhausting and people are OVERLY judgemental of her when plenty of other characters INCLUDING LUKE, LORELAI AND EMILY have all made mistakes and have had low moments.
@@LadyBeyondTheWall Nothing specific, but Joe brings it up in every video, waiting to see when Rory is "Awful" like people claimed and it never happens. We are now in season 5. So yeah, clearly people are being hypocritical and have been from DAY 1 since she is the only character getting blasted. It's fine to dislike characters in specific seasons or episodes but with Rory its just constant.
I dislike this episode specifically because of Norman Mailer. His scenes are just dull. I wish they'd've picked something else for Sookie to go crazy over. Also, I think he will grow to like Doyle.
The girly remark is only dumb out of context. Mailer was all about performative masculinity, so it was a knowing jab at him. (Pun intended, he also boxed.)
