The Panasonic rep told me that if you look carefully at the front of the lens, they greyed the text out, as they noticed if the text was white, with ring lights etc, then it would reflect on the subjects in macro photos. How awesome is that! I had a play with this lens today and I want one!
Man, this is so cool!!! The closer you get, the shallower the depth of field is with macro lenses so, I stop down a ton anyway. Cool first look/review!

Hi! I just bought the lumix because of the ND. It's impossible for me to work professionally without the possibility of adapting a filter. I have the sigma 16-28 and 28-70 and both are clinically sharp. Nevertheless, wet the Lumix S series i always get better quality pictures. Even with the 20-60 kit lens. It's kinda crazy. But I do prefer the 28-70sigma vs the 20-60 because of the constant aperture. But I prefer the 14-28lumix vs 16-28 sigma for vlogging. Hope this helps hahahah
Just realized I was think of the sigma 14-28 that doesn't have a filter thread. Sorry. For indoors I would still use the 16-28sigma. But for travel and vlogging those 2 milimiters of the new lumix 14-28 won me over.
don't you think that the Panasonic 14-28 has a black hole in the shadows? I say based on the RU-vid video. Since now I have to choose what buy Lumix 14-28 or Sigma 16-28.
Panaconic Micro 4/3 7mm 14mm f4 throughout is also remarkable. Remember Olympus 7 to 14 F2.8 is an interior room lens ..exspensive but delivers..a very interesting video showing closup potential ..being wide angle the large depth of field for detailed closeup Thanks

No because these things fluctuate through time. If you watch this video in a year it may be different or on offer or something so I never say the price. Only the relative prices
This is a pretty cool lens but for $800 I don't see myself using it more than the 20-60. But as a niche if you're an insect photographer or have money to burn, sure.
