@DoomWalker42

@@djgreff Ever heard of ice cubes? Sarcasm aside no one really needs something to be cold that fast. If you keep water or drinks in the fridge or freezer it will stay cold for a long time. IKR they want 300 bucks for it you can ONLY DO 1 DRINK AT A TIME can't be over a certain size bigger then a wine bottle and then you has to put in a plug taking up more electricity and fill it up with water and clean it. I got a refrigerator side by side guess what it makes ice cubes out of water and it dispenses its older piece of tech and you can cool your entire items of groceries in it cause it also has a freezer i may has paid about a thousand bucks but i had it for over a year and not had issues just like last one i had for like a decade and it works good.

It's a peltier cooler, which is incredibly energy inefficient, we are talking up to 300% more power consumption than a refrigerator. There's a reason why peltier elements didn't make the mainstream market despite being around for over 60 years. Don't get fooled. This thing needs 200 watts to cool one can of soda in 1 minute. This is a HUGE power consumption compared to a fridge. If your fridge used 200 watts of power for every can stored inside, your electricity bills would be 30 pages long. Errmagod, I didn't know all 7 billion people in the world live in the North Pole... This tech could be nice to spread, innovate and develop in High Temp Regions. If it helps reduce electricity costs and can be done with larger batches and doesn't require a lot of space or power (it would be great if it can just rely on solar power) it can revolutionise how modern cold drinks can be spread to areas without that access.

You want to know a way that is just as fast, takes no electricity and is truly environmentally friendly? Get a tub big enough for what you want to cool. Add equal amounts of ice and cold water to it and dump in a bunch of salt. The salt helps lower the temperature to -20 degrees C and this can cool your drink down in about 3 minutes. No need for expensive gadgets that take up a lot of electricity. Sure the tub method is less sexy but all it costs you is a bag of ice and some salt.
