there's more guilt on organizers than on this guy. Having a criminal is a thing that can just happen, but having all the people in charge to know about this and do nothing is the real problem.
Of course, look how many people had reported it even before these 2 women came out and nothing happened. He literally got removed from the Blast Finals 2022 party for harassing some women and it got “overlooked”. Everyone is giving statements anonymously, don’t you think that’s odd? It shouldn’t be controversial to expose someone who has been sexually harassing strangers for years. There’s clearly so much evidence. But everyone is afraid to speak out. I bet there was a higher up in ESL, Blast, PGL that had heard of this before. Nothing happened though. Clearly, Maniac had some friends in high places, high enough that people fear retribution later.
People would report it and organizers would do nothing. This is like giving him the go ahead. I bet if someone smacked him while he was drunkenly hitting on someone, they would lose their job instead of Maniac.
i think most times sexual harrassment is not taken seriously especially at party events where people get drunk. it's easy to brush it off that he was drunk and 'we can't ruin his reputation/career over that' when it is obviously a problem and something should've been done after the first incident. someone had to go public for him to receive any consequences for his actions.
Jokes aside tho we gotta give props to anomaly for being in youtube for this long and not involved in any major drama other than drama with his obesity and diabetes
My theory as to why other people at the same level don't speak up: There are OTHERS. Maybe colleges possibly higher-ups, who do the same thing and they are afraid to jeopardize either their relationships with their co-workers or their employers.
Going off social media is the best thing to do in general, not answering to allegations is not admitting to anything, it's often the best thing to do, like the saying with cops "don't talk to them, get a lawyer". Whether or not he is guilty, going off social media tells nothing.
That’s only if you’re looking at it from a legal perspective: “innocent until proven guilty”. That however, is definitely not how the court of public opinion works. If you’re being accused of something, people will not accept silence as an answer. Silence proves guilt, since you can’t disprove the allegations. Not saying that that should be the case, after all that’s the reason “cancel culture” is such a toxic thing, but it is the truth. Going off social media would’ve been a good play for Maniac if he had some legal road to take against the situation, but he has already publicly admitted to the allegations which makes going off the radar a bad move (adding fuel to the fire). TLDR: he’s cooked lol. going off social media can not in any way shape or form have a positive result when you’re faced with big allegations online :)
@@Azroth The less people feed into it the better. If I didn't do anything I'd just say "I didn't do it" and wait, if people keep crying I'd just ignore it, cause it's not even worth the hassle of deleting anything. You don't have to prove anything to anyone if you're innocent, their mental issues and hallucinations are their own problem. The issue with cancel culture is that people keep taking everything seriously, you can literally say anything without any proof and people will back you up. You'd think people would stop caring about allegations without proof by now. And I'm not saying that this Maniac thing is that sort of situation, but it happens a lot. Plus getting off social media saves you a lot of headaches and stress. Obviously when there is solid proof, plus you have a job on the line, not defending yourself either means you're cooking up a defense or you're cooked yourself. Many people focus too much on individuals and rumors, if they canceled things like hollywood or companies that pollute rivers or use slave labour in African mines... the world would be a better place. But of course who cares about any of that when there is juice Twitter drama.
He tweeted some bullshit reply "I was not at that party at the time you specified, i have uber receipts to prove it" and just didn't post any uber receipts.
Two things make absolutely zero sense with this whole situation: 1. how was he allowed into events after he had been ESCORTED OUT OF THEM PRIOR for harrassing women. This one I can almost understand because these companies only care about money, but still. 2. how the FKKKK is no one catching hands in these situations? Especially with boyfriends/fiances present. It's not like he's even a big guy, looks like you can sneeze on him and he'll run away, I'm not saying you need to knock him out and risk losing your job or worse but how is keeping an obvious predator off of your girlfriend, your friend, or ANYONE really something you just decide to not do after he's been groping, harrassing and chasing them around a venue? I don't understand.
Keep in mind that he can't be arrested for drunkenly groping women, but their friends & partners _can_ be arrested for punching him or physically removing him from a venue. It's easy to look in from the outside & say "I'd lay into him" but keep in mind that a lot of these incidents are happening sporadically over several hours in crowded venues... he's also noticeably drunk, which changes how you assess a situation. So I don't blame the friends or partners for doing the body-block dance instead of starting a brawl... but I _DO_ blame event organisers for continuing to allow him in if he has a known, repeated pattern of drunken behaviour. It's very easy to tell him that he's not welcome, and if other people are asking why he's not attending he can just tell them he's busy/has a plane to catch/whatever to "save face"... I've had that exact conversation with more than one work colleague over the years. Not once has the person kicked up a fuss about it, and the one guy who was dumb enough to try to sneak into the party anyway was stopped at the door & found himself jobless on Monday morning. There are plenty of people who can't handle alcohol responsibly & just as many _proactive_ ways for event organisers to address it before the situation escalates to this level. And if they only give a shit about money they should consider that if something happens at your corporate event & alcohol is being served, the corporation & organisers can be held liable. So keeping this creep out of events is actually a wise financial decision as well.
He’s one of the most well known cs talents. I’m not one of these woke people but power dynamics play a part. If it were some creepy nobody he’d be gone already but going after someone higher up the food chain is a big risk. Also many of these people admit to forcibly separating Maniac and the victim.
another point I want to add is the presence of Freya, who is the most visible female presence that we see on screen. IF she was not aware, then who else lived in oblivion while working close with Maniac? or did they also stay silent as to avoid retaliation? this whole scenario is odd.

@@jockin Good luck with that. In Britain and Wales only about 3.6% of reported r*p*s end up with a conviction. You think the bobbies are going to give af about a drunk guy getting grabby? They let Andrew Tate go, even after two women reported him for r*p*, and one woman presented a voicenote where he essentially admitted to it. British police are some of the worst in the world on this subject.

@@LT-wi7so maniac isn't an alcoholic. Alcoholic means alcohol addiction and it's a sickness. People with alcohol addiction can't function without alcohol and they have to be treated in a rehabilitation centre. We've seen Maniac sober at events for weeks, like Pro League. He's just a pervert who misbehaves when he takes alcohol.
to be fair.... most "predators" have childhood trauma and alcoholics cant really just stop drinking. his statement is beliveble but that dont make it ok... now that he said hes sorry, cant they press charges? 🙄
Ngl, it's surprising how commonplace shit like this happening is, just that noone that isn't working at the company it's happening at will hear about it cause they're not exactly public persons. I personally decided to not go to company parties anymore cause of all of it, but sometimes it feels like corporate culture hasn't changed much since the 80's.
