People slag Maserati as unreliable and outdated but u buy cars with heart not brain and when it sounds and looks amazing. That noise is like Aston Martin GT8
Alfa 8C has same engine. Anyway, Maserati still sounds better. For me, the nicest exhaust/engine sound. Even better than Ferrari/Lambo. Maserati GranTurismo are really common in Singapore. The sound is a key factor there for boasting ...
In my eyes, the style and engine are two unique features otherwise it is outdated so badly it is not worth the money. Ghibli even does not have paddle shifts, lol.
I am surprised to find British people who loves so much italian cars!!! What a channel you have my friend! Awesome video, and this V8 is pure car porn. Greetings from Italy ✌🏻!!
Couldn't care less if its dated or not the fastest etc. Its the best sounding car to me and needs no mods to the exhaust. Also it beautiful. If I had 50k to buy a car this would be it.
Awesome sound. Even the standard ones sound amazing. This takes it to a whole different level. Always liked Maserati. More understated and much cooler than a Ferrari IMHO, even if the Fezza would leave it for dead in a head to head. Shades 😎 are mandatory headwear in a Maser by the way 😂 Great vid Stef 👍
Sound is the best - but axle tramp and floaty/unconnected chassis is the worst of any car I've owned in last 10 yrs - I put spacers on the back and it was even worse as you could feel the wheels creaking on the hubs under v big load !
Man I love this car & it's overall design theme! Lowered height maybe for aesthetics & maybe better handling but otherwise this shape is literally stunning! For even more performance there's the MC Stradale version that takes it to whole other level! Love to buy one but I've heard how expensive they are to maintain so i'm a little leery just an oil change I've heard can be ridiculously expensive!?? But if ever I could actually afford the ownership of this magnificent automobile it'll be a very exciting day!! What an Ear-gasm👂!!!!
Snapped the 100th Like! And im so super happy youv finally tested my Fave dream car - When no other RU-vidr im following seem to be getting it... I want this one much more than any Lambo etc, purely because of the bestest meanest sound! Its like The Ones sings - "Flawless absolutely Flawless !!!" 👍 😎 👍
I got one of these and you can view it as a project car. Guys want it all sorted but when you start with that styling and engine its not a whole lot that needs to be done. The xpipe for sure and they're a host of stuff you can actually do to the interior to get it right. They're numerous infotainment and climate control update options out there with Android auto etc with 8 inch screens that slot right into the old spot. With two years on mine I haven't had many issues in 10,000 miles. If there's a good deal on one with a complete service history buy it. You won't regret it
I own one 2016 maserati gts and best car I ever drove ( and I'm into sports cars) sounds and looks even better in person. ppl won't stop recording a videos and taking pics everywhere I drive. my advice is take it for atleast test drive before you guys being a hater towards this beauty
Ive owned a GT for 7 months before someone hit me and totaled the car… cant get over the sound and comfy ride… now i moved to 911 4S… my heart is with the GT and mind with the 911
It's now discontinued and already a modern classic, so no update needed. It will became a legend on its own, because the successors will be electrified and the V8 is gone.
Please i have a question, do you just install the x-pipe from Larini for this sound? I have the same model, but don't sound like your. I want to change the central part of pipe without catalitic filter.
Would be interested to know how it handles with the Pilot Sport 4's on. Mine has the Pirelli P Zeros and the handling isn't fab. Mine has the skyhook suspension on it though so maybe that doesn't help !
Bcuz the Masers and Alfas run the Crossplane crankshaft set-up unlike Ferrari which is a Flatplane crank. Hence the grumble and mumble of a Crossplane rather than the wails and shrieks(and higher revs) of the Flatplane cranks.
Totally different. The Giulia is a sedan/limousine with a Biturbo V6 engine while the Maserati Gran Turismo is a GT Coupe with a NA V8 engine. I would love have both in my garage 😊
I own both. They are totally different vehicles. I feel lucky enough to experience everyday the differences between them. The GT is much more elegant, timeless design, more refined in the driving experience, braking is more adjustable, its sound is the best, it feels more expensive in the way it is built (handmade with amazing attention to details and better materials in the original Maserati shop in Modena). The Giulia has the best handling and its steering is unbeatable (best in the segment), it is much more agile and quick, better track performance.
It's a modern classic, who cares about the interior style? It is handcrafted with amazing fit and finish and materials, especially with Poltrona Frau leather and carbon fiber package, are exquisite. THe style can be dated, but it's a matter of taste. Not everyone like having a tablet attached to the dash panels, like some millennial nerds. And that is not the selling point of a Maserati..
@@Isalei84 you're right, it may become a modern classic. But it isn't for 100k+ when it can only reach 60 in 4.5, has a very basic interior and an engine that isn't exactly reliable. So yes. It does need an updated interior, and that doesn't have to include a tablet.
@@STRENGTH444 0-60 in 4.5 s is so fast in real life! Everything under 6 seconds is fun enough... anything in the 4.x seconds or less is absolutely awesome...
I never understood why this lovely car did not have the dash and interior quality of the 4.2. coupe, it's just so cheap looking and plastic . For example,The Maserati clock in the 4.2 is set in deep soft high quality leather. In this car , it's set in plastic which goes against everything Maserati stood for throughout its history.
Would you want to get rid of it though 😉. I loved going round their factory, everything is reasonable and then you get blown away by their engine development room 🤯👍
S2000Y that‘s total bullsh*t. You can never get tired of the sound and if you have ever driven a Maserati you would know that they are absolutely awesome!
