With acrylic i found that running your drill bit in reverse and melting through helps prevent chipping and going from your smallest size bits and skip 2 sizes until you get to your desired diameter it really helps with thin acrylic like .090 1/4" 1/8"

just something i noticed, maybe put a clear sheet of acrylic over the top of the odens face thing, looks like it may collect dirt quite easily and be a bit of a pain to clean. just an idea.

If you like the CNC stuff, you would probably also be interested in 3D printing. I think a 3D printer that can print ABS would be really handy for car interiors. It would give you a chance to skip some phases of assembly by printing more full pieces, and would save on weight (not that the weight matters all that much).

Hey with the odin plate you might wanna fill in the gaps with some epoxy. The voids will build up dust after a while and normally it wouldn’t be a huge deal but with it being rgb itll show

That console looks great buddy i do car audio and we build consoles all the time because people want as many speakers as they can get that acrylic looks good painted but we usually paint the under side and the acrylic acts as a clear coat it works really well and really looks good whe the lights shine thru and reflect off the paint any way good job buddy

Dan chamfer is a flat edge break what you’re doing is filleting or adding a radius. But even us engineerds call em chamfers edge breaks are basically just lumped into that terminology
