The dark oak thing is probably because the normal log already matches the plank, so the stripped version would just have slightly different textures.

0:34 this happens because of the hitbox of the ladder because the ladder is considered a full block when you can see through it so you can do anything to the block under it because It’s hitbox is as large as a full block

11:57 Well, the actual reason is that Cobble, Blackstone and Deep Cobble have the same ID of 4. While, on the other hand Stone, Granite, Diorite, Andesite, Deepslate and their Polished variants have the ID of 1

The reason why the cauldron doesn’t work the way you think it should with water is because it’s just a texture, not actual water. I think having actual water in there would be pretty hard for mojang to do.

With enough of these things in one video, even I find a few of them that I didn't already know. But, it's kinda sad to see Skip doing exclusively this content these days. Back in the early days of his channel (which isn't too long ago), there was much more variety, not only in subjects, but in games. And that's one thing about Skip that mildly annoys me.

The reason blackstone doesnt work for redstone is because it is too fragile. In the launcher a few months ago there was a link to an article about blackstone, saying why it doesnt work for some things, and the general lore around this mysterious substance.

My biggest annoyance involves the off-hand, being able to hold a stone-based block/pickaxe breaking block in the off-hand and still be able to use the pick to mine a misplaced block making building easier. However, it is COMPLETELY useless for the axe and shovel. For the axe you can't hold a log in your off-hand and hold the axe in your main hand because you'll just strip the log anytime to right-click to place a block. For the shovel, you can't right-click to place down a block because it'll create a pathblock (which in 1.17 was made even more aggrevating since any dirt-like soil block can be made into a path block. It's such a fantastic mechanic for the pickaxe, and such a disappointing mess for the axe/shovel.

@Joseph Tarkington What's worse is that you can't even crouch to avoid making a path with the shovel, or stripping a log with an axe, it does the secondary action(or whatever term they use) as long as the tool is in your main hand. A complete troll mechanic.

You can get hardcord in bedrock and not have to worry about bugs 1 make a world 2 hard mode 3 if you die delete it Benefits: if you die to a bug JUST GO BACK, you can see the world after you die, if you want to you can continue playing after Cons: not to much fear

For the first one with the ladder and grass path, it also happens with vines, and with tilling soil. Learnt this the hard way trying to make a farm next to a jungle tree, and the vines would constantly get in my way.

A way around the boat on dirt path: Leads. If you do it just right, you can lead a boat. Doing so, build a small path above, and the boat will lift off the ground. Keep in mind though, the inside mob will take fall damage! (At least this works in bedrock, not sure about java ...)

As a bedrock player, I have encountered the random fall damage bug, along with a few other damage bugs. But I've never seen the damage be able to one shot. Usually it would do 0.5-2 hearts of damage, sometimes more if I'm unlucky. In fact, anything over 4 hearts seems near impossible, at least from my experience.

a bit of an inside joke among me and my mom revolves around the random damage. we frequently pillar up to get stuff, and only then does it happen, usually proportional to the climb, we've never died, but we have nicknamed it "climbing damage" due to it only happening during pillaring.

11:15 There's a reasoning for this. It's not a bug, but rather, something Mojang hasn't done yet... Chests are entities in Minecraft. As a result, they have light shine through them, however the roof properties don't go with them... And as a result, your skeletons will become a dog's next BBQ... Mojang will probably make chests act more like a full block in a future update, though...

A lot of people say that minecraft shadows are circles. But just like the Ender Pearl, they are not perfect circles. They are made of tiny pixels hence forth, it's not a circle. It's a bunch of tiny squares.

I have had an experience that proves number 17 should be fixed. I was in creative mode and I wrote a bunch of stuff in a book I was trying to make for my friend, which I put in an item frame. But when I tried to get it back, it disappeared to my surprise, erasing an eight pages worth of text.

it just gives feeling of losing the world when ur dead so sometimes if you do something really hard to do in this "hardcore" world and die on bedrock you sometimes can save this slot beacuse of this, thats why hardcore isnt harder but more stressful, this mode can be even easier if ur good player beacuse ur more cautious

You can middle click the item in creative mode. It will give you a duplicate, and the item stays in the frame.

The stone tools part, I'd say if it was more like the gold tools in the way of enchantments but keeps the durability of the cobble stone variant then that would make it at least a usable choice.

Never had to deal with the random fall damage, but I did notice that the mobs are much harder to defeat than in Java.

I haven't DIED from random fall damage, but sometimes when I jump I just take a bit of damage from nowhere it's weird as.

If you were able to make chainmail armor with chains it would not be worth it. Let me explain... chains in this game are made using one iron ingot and 2 iron nuggets. if you were to make a chestplate, that would be 8 chains. If 1 chain is 1 ingot and 2 nuggets, then that's 8 ingots and 16 nuggets to make one chestplate. Not only does it cost more iron to make. Chainmale armor is weaker than iron armor! So I believe that being able to make chainmale with chains would not be worth it.

A tip for moving villagers: When using a boat, get the villager into the boat, than place a lead on the boat and pull it with you. Although, I don't know if this works for Java😬

Not just when you're frost walking, it's pretty useful in the ocean in general. Like if you want to place a crafting table, yet you're in the middle of the ocean. Or if you're building something on top of water. You can even make a temporary base in the ocean with lily pads!

I know an annoying thing too: When you break stone you get cobblestone which is the bricked version of stone but to get a bricked version from other blocks is by smelting them and then what absolutely makes no sense by smelting the bricked version of stone (cobble) gives you the repaired one (stone)

@@Jdawg1234 Bro do u even Play MC of course is cobblestone the bricked/broken version of stone you literally break it with a pickaxe to get it and Stone bricks are not the brick of stone ik that it has literally both names in one Item but it don't has any visual texture that it's bricked i mean do you saw the Item yet or do you even know anything about Minecraft. And another thing i have a question for u: When u mean that Stone bricks are the bricked version of stone then y is it so popular in the building scene, Oh i think don't even that but now you do and you answer my question with a wrong answer. And your to your second argument: When u say that smelting cobblestone smoths it why is the exact oppisite (smelting a normal Variant Stone such as Stone bricks and netherbricks) does it too. So to sum it up it you say it's logical that a broken Stone Type can get normal again by smelting it but there are other cracked Stone blocks that When you smelt the oppisite Happens PS pls answer the comment spend a lot of time writing it
